Kent & Curwen was honored again as the title sponsor of The Kent & Curwen Royal Charity Polo Cup. The event was hosted in support of Prince Harry and The Duke of Cambridge’s charities, Tusk Trust and Sentebale respectively. Long-time Brand Ambassador Aaron Kwok attended this prestigious sporting event, and was joined by the more recently appointed representative Michael Owen. Among the 400 VIP guests that attended the event were Andrew Lloyd Webber and his wife, British model David Gandy, super model Jade Parfitt and her husband Jack Dyson, singer Samantha Barks, British actor Richard Fleeshman and Jamal Edwards, founder of the famous online music platform SBTV.
After the Kent & Curwen Centenary Sprint Cup held in January 2014, Michael Owen and Aaron Kwok once again came face to face at the Royal Polo Cup. Having attended this illustrious event for the third year now, Kwok shared with Owen his strong passion for equestrianism and in return, Owen shared his experience in training race horses. In recent years, Owen the football legend co-founded Manor House Stables, a thoroughbred horse racing establishment spanning across 160 acres of Cheshire’s greenery. The Royal Charity Polo Cup marked Owen’s first polo match experience, where he encountered the thrills and high-spirits of the sport.
Benefiting the Charitable foundations Tusk Trust and Sentebale, the Royal Polo Cup featured an exhilarating match between BP Polo and Westcombe led by Prince William and Prince Harry. After rounds of exciting games, Westcombe led by Prince William eventually won 7:5 and Prince Harry was selected as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
