Located on the 15th floor of the St. Regis Bangkok by the intimate outdoor swimming pool, the calm and minimalist setting of the ELEMIS Spa reflects the balance of tradition and innovation. Inspired by nature and defined by science, the spa’s serene environment is a haven of rejuvenation far removed from your hectic pace and bustling life. As the first ELEMIS Spa in the South East Asia region and one of only four ELEMIS Signature Spas globally that offers an experience beyond pampering.

Featuring two relaxation areas for men and women, each has a mezzanine level of locker facilities, showers and restroom with cozy and comfortable seating lounges, including suspended Relaxation Pods that float above the wet area. Each includes steam rooms, Jacuzzis, cold plunge pools and Experience Showers that allow for a personalized selection of water pressure, lighting and music.

Our arrival experience was greeted promptly and began with a detailed consultation led by experienced staff. I alerted my therapist for my left shoulder was sore, most probably due to the sleeping pattern I have lately by not turning myself around regularly enough and to see after this treatment if it will help to minimize the pain by the magic touch.

In addition to the 12 treatment areas, our Couple’s Treatment Suite is huge and almost too clean with a hint of clinical feel towards its white hued walls and the wood crafted window frames. A cocoon couple of “hanging” chairs adds modernity and chic mood to the room for after treatment relaxation. The treatment room also facilitates with a spacious shower as well as a corner giant bath tub for other treatments. Besides, the spa, it also features Rasul chambers where you can experience an ancient Arabian bathing ritual that incorporates mineral-rich clay, heat and steam to cleanse with the benefit to exfoliate, absorb toxins, increase circulation and soften the skin.

We opted for the 1 hour <ELEMIS Freestyle Deep Tissue Massage> and <Traditional Thai Massage> separately. The signature freestyle deep tissue massage applies to my sore shoulder especially when it is tailored to individual needs.  Selected aromatic oil is used for muscle pain, stress relief, relaxation or balance, this flowing massage technique works deeper into tension, encouraging optimum circulation. Without question, the feeling after the treatment proves that expert massage techniques can be beneficial and the feeling of improvement was most welcome.

Practiced and revered throughout Thailand for 2,500 years, traditional Thai Massage uses the timeless massage technique that encourages the body’s internal energy to flow more freely, improving overall health, wellbeing and vitality. Renew with an ancient healing tradition, fingers, thumbs, elbows, arms and feet are used in a combination of acupressure and stretching movements. Problem areas of tension and stress are alleviated and flexibility is enhanced and the after effects were definitely felt in a very positive and reassuring way.

The therapists are trained to work in natural synergy with the skin, body and mind accompanying the rejuvenating spa products. Every treatment is uniquely designed to respect the body’s complex physiology and delivers a unique experience by reawakening the senses.

BALLY Swiss Hearts

 Bally leans on its mountain heritage inspired by nostalgic Swiss motifs. The décor of the Swiss Hearts accessories is based on the brass hearts found on traditional colourfully painted cowbells which have become a favourite souvenir take away from an Alpine visit.

The design appears on Bally’s new season handbags including the half-moon shaped Harryet and slouchy Kyrah, Bally’s new supple construction styles, and the popular Cecyle and Suzy bags.

Other styles include belt bags, a tote style, camera bag, backpack and pouch bag. A sandal in flat and heeled versions also bears the mountain lifestyle inspired theme.

The brass hearts are reinterpreted in a sleek gold finish, bearing the Bally logo, and displayed stand alone or grouped in trios. With precision laser-cut leather, floral lace (typical of traditional Swiss dress) is recreated as trims on the leather goods with an engraved and painted whipstitch border.

Purse straps feature striped fringe trims in a subtle nod to the Bally Stripe and recall the colourful trim on leather straps that hold the decorative cow bells. Available in three colourful combinations based on black, tan and stone plain calf leather.

Cindy Crawford Joins The Launch of OMEGA’s Constellation Manhattan Ladies’ Collection In Hong Kong

Cindy Crawford was a very special guest of honour at Hong Kong to celebrate the launch of the new OMEGA's Constellation Manhattan Ladies’ Collection recently. As a truly inspiring woman at the heart of OMEGA, Crawford has been closely associated with the Constellation since 1995 and was delighted to see the latest models up-close during an exclusive visit to the newly renovated OMEGA boutique at K11 Art Mall. As well as exploring the iconic watches, the long-time brand ambassador also had a chance to admire the new interior design of the store with contemporary yet sophisticated visuals in gold-framed surroundings.

Later that evening, she was welcomed inside OZONE in The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, which was adorned with white and gold decorative elements to complement the stunning views of Victoria Harbour. The cocktail event was enlivened with a showcase of the new Constellation “Manhattan” Jewellery models, with Cindy herself wearing one of the beautiful watches.

The Constellation collection has long been OMEGA’s symbol of unrivalled precision and elegance in watchmaking. It was the “Manhattan” design in 1982 that introduced the classic look and today’s new collection has enhanced many of the most famous features. More than 100 new models are available, with modern makeovers including bevelled edges for a refined feminine look, slender bezels and the iconic “claws” that fit more snugly to the case. In the 29 mm models, mechanical supremacy is delivered through the inclusion of an OMEGA Master Co-Axial movement, certified at the Master Chronometer standard. More dial colours and case sizes have also been created, including watches in 25 mm, 28 mm and 29 mm for a perfect fit.

President and CEO of OMEGA, Mr. Raynald Aeschlimann, welcomed guests by saying, “It’s an honour to celebrate such a special evening with our longest friend Cindy who has always been described as elegant, beautiful and inspiring. Our new Constellation Manhattan collection embraces this spirit and continues to evolve for every generation of woman.

Cindy Crawford shared her thoughts by saying, “The Constellation is such a timeless watch with a classic design. OMEGA has always surprised me by creating innovative features without losing the iconic heritage. The history and quality behind this watch genuinely inspires me.”

Boucheron SS2019 Advertising Campaign

 Boucheron SS2019 Advertising Campaign captured by the lens of the talented Oliver Hadlee Pearch, Andreea Diaconu embodies this woman who is free to make the jewelry her own. Mixing the collections, wearing them her way and bringing High Jewelry pieces to life by combining them with a cashmere sweater, she is the epitome of style ... This series of seven visuals and four videos tells the story of the unbridled creativity and incredible craftsmanship of a House that has always placed women at the heart of its creations. Because the Boucheron style is created by and with women.

It is the idea of freedom that is given expression, from the time the Maison was founded in 1858 to the present day. Aesthetic and creative freedom. Technical freedom. But also, the freedom in how jewelry is worn, departing from the usual codes and conventions, in keeping with Boucheron’s status as the first of the great contemporary jewelers of Place Vendôme.

This is the message conveyed by the new campaign of the Maison, which, now more than ever, embodies the free spirit that has guided its creations for 160 years.

Following the announcement that the Maison Boucheron’s Paris flagship store is to re-open after eighteen months of work, this new advertising campaign will be another breath of fresh air for Place Vendôme and will allow the Maison to affirm its own creative vision. The very one that inspires the ever bolder pieces designed by Creative Director Claire Choisne. The Boucheron style belongs to the women of today who create and own their freedom.

Andreea Diaconu is seen strolling through the salons of the Parisian hôtel particulier at 26 Place Vendôme. Newly renovated, this genuine family home now houses an apartment that imbues this campaign with a cosy, warm atmosphere, just like the welcome given to Boucheron’s customers and guests. The spirit of Boucheron lives within 26 place Vendôme, with its values and expertise, keeping alive the taste for freedom and subtle transgression that became its hallmark.

MINA Brasserie - Delight Your Sense of Taste

nouveau Mediterranean and Continental cuisine with an Italian twist, MINA Brasserie not only surprises you with its crafted menu but also delights your sense of taste by its newly on board Italian Chef in a classy, modern and contemporary style meets art deco ambience. mylifestynews writes.

Tucked away in the heart of Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) Gate village where art, commerce and cuisine meets, MINA Brasserie can be accessed either from the Four Seasons Hotel entrance or via the lounge-style entrance off the the mix used terrace. Overlooking the Burj Khalifa and against the backdrop of Dubai Financial District, the entrance via the hotel foyer welcomes you on its white marble flooring set against the wooden wall with mirrors featuring portrait paintings along the hallway as well as a few more in the dining area that was unquestionably eye-catching contrasting the contemporary charm of the restaurant ambiance.

The lively lounge-style garden terrace is an alternative entrance to the restaurant flanked by the white marble bar top and two formidable Olive trees add a further homey feel to the terrace. Flat-ironed linen with an informal table setting with a touch of blue hue cushions and bar stools lighten up the place juxtaposing the hanging yellow light bulb that creates a much cozy and intimate mood in the evening with a live DJ spinning the latest playlists and house trance mix.

The music bustling with noise in to the main dining room creates a more joyful ambiance to relax, only when it wasn’t played too loud. The courteous wait staff and the service team are quite attentive with shape-eyes and warm smiles in delivering a consistent service to the half full main restaurant dining room and already packed terrace when we arrived.

The menu is crafted by award-winning Chef Michael MINA to graze on delicious and contemporary brasserie-style sharing plates, adding a rustic yet fine Italian touch that celebrates the culture and gastronomy. The all-encompassing menu offers something almost to all occasions as the restaurant also serves as an all-day-dining outlet from buffet breakfast set up to a-la-carte lunch and dinner and a weekend bubbly brunch.

It is a blessing when you are able to sample a good meal cooked while you don’t need to decode every dish presented to your table. In MINA Brasserie, what you see is what you get and the culinary team let the ingredient express itself to the maximum and explode on the palate with all its vitality instead of losing it by adding too much of other unnecessary touches that mainly are gimmicks instead of delighting your sense of taste.

The manager strongly recommended us to start with the <Macaroni & Mimolette Gratinee> which is an elevated version of Mac and Cheese. We were quite reluctant at the beginning but it was beautifully presented. The macaroni was neatly aligned on a bed of béchamel sauce and topped with the lightly burnt and crusted cheese that was actually quite a delightful start to our culinary sojourn.

<Roasted Beets>
A refreshing, juicy and chunky beetroots salad tossed with the sweet and tart balsamic vinegar and topped with and warm goat’s cheese. Simplicity at it best!

<Lobster Tagliolini>
We had the pasta replaced with ravioli with the same tomato-fennel ragu as per the supposed squid ink pasta, topped with salted, cured Bottarga fish roe. A good mouth full of ravioli with another bite of the tender and juicy lobster well dipped into the specially made sweet corn sauce was divine. Another triumphant dish not to be missed!

<Oak Grilled Octopus>
Well marinated and perfectly oak char-grilled whole octopus tail to its tenderness as expected, topped with aromatic black garlic for a more complex palate and accompanied by assorted tomato being done in five different ways. A must order in MINA Brasserie!

<Wood-grilled Filet Mignon>
We love our meat and the manager suggested us to have the wood-grilled Filet Mignon from Creekstone Farms Prime Black Angus cattle from USA. For a premium quality of meat, you don’t need much marinated but to taste of the origin from the produce. A good steak can surely make your evening a pleasurable one and the culinary team in MINA Brasserie knows its way.

<Wood Fired Baby Chicken>
The baby chicken was well rubbed with assorted spices before it was cooked on a wood fire that offered a more Oriental and rustic taste served on a huge bed of chickpea and sautéed spinach. This offered tender juicy meat that was delicious.

<Crispy Brussels Sprouts>
We are not a fan of Brussels Sprouts but what is done here in MINA Brasserie is inspiring. Deep fried Brussels sprouts to a light crisp and served with honey, fish sauce and soy. One of the best alternative side dishes to order and you won’t see this often in many other restaurants and certainly a good twist for such a combination of ingredients used.

<Lamb Three Ways>
We couldn’t help but to order the lamb chop done in three different ways – The meaty lamb chop, sausage and hand-pulled, served with black lime labneh, Italian chermoula farro wheat and carrot. A single dish of three  succulent flavours!

The 1000 Stories Bourbon barrel-aged Zinfandel was the best choice suggested by the sommelier to pair with our orders in the evening. The Zinfandel grapes from Mendocino and Sonoma counties bursting with aromatic red fruits scents and complex black fruit flavours with a touch of Petit Sirah and Syrah enhance those flavours even more with bold and black and white pepper spices. A beautiful long lingering finish!

There was no room for us to have dessert after all these gorgeous dishes being served and enjoyed. With an emphasis on dishes prepared with purpose to please your taste buds and marrying tradition with diverse flavours from its ever-evolving and seasonal menu, the culinary heart and lifestyle soul of this chic, casual and unpretentiously splendid restaurant brings to the table the true uncompromised Continental gastronomy with an Italian touch,which is simply fascinating. You’ll have more than just one reason to be back.
