Presley Gerber’s Choice - The OMEGA Railmaster

As the son of Cindy Crawford, OMEGA’s longest-serving brand ambassador and her son Presley Gerber has grown up with a close and personal view of the watches, events and partnerships that make OMEGA so special. Now, as he is officially joined the OMEGA family and made his own way in the world of fashion and photography, Presley is proudly putting his name, and his face, to the brand’s products. And for 2018, he has made his choice; The OMEGA Railmaster – a watch that is rich in historical innovation and good looks.

In 1957, the Swiss watch brand OMEGA released its very first Railmaster model. Now, 60 years later, the timepiece is making a triumphant return. The new Railmaster follows the same simple and elegant design traits of the original – but with updated touches of style and the very best mechanical movement. For collectors and fans, the re-release signals a long-awaited and exciting moment. As the name suggests, the first OMEGA Railmaster was built for railway staff or anyone who worked close to electrical fields. Shielded by an inner protective case, the watch was able to resist magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss, guaranteeing reliable precision for the wearer. By comparison, most anti-magnetic watches at that time offered protection at only around 60 gauss.

Today, OMEGA is still one of the industry’s leading names in anti-magnetic innovation and the new OMEGA Railmaster is 15 times more resistant than the original thanks to its Master Chronometer Calibre 8806. Certified at the industry’s highest standard by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), and able to withstand magnetism of 15,000 gauss, this new Railmaster model wonderfully recalls the superb anti-magnetic qualities of its predecessor.
Of course, the upgrade is not only limited to the movement. The new vertically-brushed grey dial is instantly appealing and includes recessed hour-markers which are all filled with “vintage” Super-LumiNova. The dial also features a railway minute track, OMEGA’s “crosshair” symbol of precision, and a transferred beige “Railmaster” indication which delivers a classic touch. Finally, the baton-style hour and minute hands are complemented by the popular “lollipop” central seconds hand which has a close connection to the railways.

The 40 mm brushed symmetrical case is made from stainless steel and its wave-edged caseback features a NAIAD LOCK design (patent pending) to keep the wording upright. It is water resistant to 15 bar (150m /500ft) and the closed caseback also includes the famous embossed Seahorse medallion. Wearers can choose to have their Railmaster presented on a fully brushed and integrated stainless steel bracelet or on a brown leather NATO strap. A second version of the new OMEGA Railmaster is also available. It follows the same design but with a black dial.

Louis Vuitton Introduces The Vuitton New Runner

Louis Vuitton presents the Vuitton New Runner, a full knit sneaker, in four new colour ways. with keen attention to detail. The V.N.R combines classic, elegant design and the House’s signatures with ultimate technical innovation. Twelve months of meticulous research and development have led to a shoe that is light and flexible – utterly contemporary in terms of both savoir-faire and aesthetic.

This trainer is the House’s second full knit sneaker made in Italy. Months of experimentation have allowed for one piece of knit to combine three yarns, to add depth and intrigue. In total, each pair of shoes requires three hours to be assembled with keen attention to detail. Embedded with elasticity, the knit wraps the foot for a sock-like comfort, providing extra support. Especially made for the size of the shoe, with no cutting involved, the seamless upper part weighs just 60 grams, and takes one and half hours to knit. For the first time, Vuitton’s heritage of fine craftsmanship and excellence is introduced to a technical trainer, resulting in a lifestyle sneaker with active sports detailing with keen attention to detail.

Expansive materials make up the sole to allow for suppleness and wearability. The highly resistant outsole is made from three separate pieces and carefully assembled by hand. Textile scratch tape and leather heel details along with a gradient hand-painted sole - a technique usually limited to the car industry combine modernity with sophistication. This season’s palette comprises a denim blue, space grey, pure white and bold black. In constant evolvement, more colour ways are to be introduced in the future. Available now in selected Louis Vuitton stores worldwide and online.

LEONARD Paris SS2018 Collection

Leonard Paris Spring Summer 2018 Collection
Stopover in Moorea

Polynesia’s lush flora contrasted with mathematical rigor: harmonious oppositions lead the way in Leonard’s SS2018 collection, which explores the tension between nature and nurture, instinct and education, control and pleasure.

The show opens with masculine tailoring, streamlined pea jackets, reworked raincoats, structures outlined in white, layered with stripes and floral prints. The garments are gradually deconstructed. Overcoats and parka jackets come with shawl collars or kimono cuts.

Like the sails of boat inflated by sea winds and held back by ropes, oversized dresses give a sense of control and letting go.

An orchid, this collection’s figurehead, is graphic, multicolored, printed on silk lamé, scintillating like the reflections of waves on humid sand.

The color palette is equally escapist, ranging from sunny yellow to cheeky orange, vibrant pink, ocean blue, frothy white, emerald green, and mother-of-pearl metallic tints.  Jewelry made out of large juxtaposed pearls underline the body’s articulations.

Geometrical blossom or sensual architecture, this subtle equilibrium runs like a golden thread throughout the collection.

agnès b. SS2018 Homme Collection

Since her beginning in the fashion industry, agnès keeps on her passion and has been creating numerous classic designs season after season. agnès is passionate about life, culture and art that keep inspiring her from time to time. This season, the designer remains the smart casual style in simplicity that the brand has been striving for, and introduced five clothing styles under the “Ready to wear” collection for this spring and summer. The collection mixed delicately the materials, cuttings, patterns to perform styles from the softest to the most daring, and you can see why fashion is always part of the art.

Along the Coast - The Seafaring Look Series
Influenced by Brittany coast in France, you can expect a wardrobe in a refreshing sailing style for summertime. Subtle colour tones of black, grey and white are heavily used in the series, mixing with patterns in various stripes to present a relaxed and low-key style. Cutting of the series is basic and comfortable, other than the classic ¾ sleeves, trousers with straight leg, agnès also proposed here a new collar in the square cut which coheres with the sense of sailing style. Make sure you don’t miss this relaxed yet chic nautical outfit if you are planning a summer holiday with sun and beach!

French Style Elegance Redefined - The French Elegance Series
Not only agnès is passionate about photography, so do her family.  Inspired by her father’s photographs taken during the summer of 1936 in Normandy, agnès built a casual chic wardrobe. agnès proposed a redefined elegance in this series that we may call it the French-style elegance. As one of the masterpiece of this series, a weaved cotton blouson “le bateau” has featured a photograph of sailboat taken by her father. The silhouette of the sailboat image is presented in a mono golden tone, bringing a refreshing holiday mood with elegance to the design. Another highlight of this wardrobe is a pink and white striped suits in seersucker, a summertime fabric that is breathable and light, keeping you cool in this summer for parties and gatherings.

Colourful Street Art - The Arty Cloakroom Series
The street art elements usually appear in agnès b.’s designs. This season, agnès has invited JonOne, the American street artist who is active in France, to join hands in designing this series. A highlight of the series includes an all-over print designed by JonOne on a suit which is artistic with its colourful and abstract graffiti. Several styles have been created given the inspiration of photos taken by agnès herself, creating the playful looks in a French street style. The series also featured colourful artist T-shirts and jersey, workwear in many shapes, jackets, T-shirts and polos for mix and matching. A few looks proposed in the series are rather bold with the overdyed colours of purple, orange and red, making them perfect for the strong personal style to take place in city nightlife.

Declination of Blues - The Bearer of Light Series
Inspiration taken from a photograph “Bearer of Light” taken by Ryan Mcginley, agnès decided to develop a complete wardrobe in different shades of blue. The casual and stylish denim play a vital role in this series that you can trace it in quite a lot of products including workwear jacket with patch pockets, wide cotton pants, cotton ikat on pants and shirts. A picture of blue sky which agnès took through a plane window is also featured on a shirt, presenting the blue color in different sense and mood.

BALMAIN SS2018 Men Collection

BALMAIN SS2018 Men Collection
"Among my favorite social media comments are those commending me on my great French. Perhaps because Balmain has so strongly emphasized the beauty of a truly diverse world open to all global influences, people might overlook my own roots.

But lately, like so many others, I’ve become keenly aware of them, as this nation bucked a dangerous trend, veering sharply away from a small-minded fear of others, while strongly reaffirming key ideals that are both universal and uniquely tied to France and its long history.

My team and I often stress that Balmain reflects how our generation dresses but perhaps because of this recent affirmation of essential values, I felt myself pushed to create an even more personal runway offering one that best reflects how I feel and dress today.

Like the runway’s soundtrack, the collection relies both on familiar classics and a paring back to a raw, honest essential. A tougher, urban edge is clearly evident, both in the sharp silhouette and the limited color palette.

Yes, there is an undeniable Parisian mood. But, while we were obviously inspired by signature French styles, we were never constrained by them - this remains, first and foremost, a Balmain collection.

This runway’s spotlight shines a bright light on our atelier’s skillful French tailoring, but the familiar mastery of embellishment and leather designs is also easily spotted.

Above all, one senses the strong confidence of “l’aventurier contre tout guerrier,” hailed in today’s Indochine song - the assertive attitude that defines our young, bold Balmain army." Said Olivier Rousteing.
