FENDI FW2014/15 ad campaign, named “Roman Arches”, is set in the iconic Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, future roman headquarter of the luxury house and pays homage, as the collection itself, to FENDI's DNA, the richness and the highest standards of craftsmanship, especially in FENDI furs, and to the eternal city, Rome.The Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, also called the Palazzo della Civiltà del Lavoro, is a monumental building located in the EUR area in Rome. Built at the end of the ‘30s from a project by the architects Giovanni Guerrini, Ernesto Bruno La Padula and Mario Romano, this building is decorated with 28 statues on its four facades, each representing  the arts and crafts of the Italian population, such as: craftsmanship, work, philosophy, commerce, industry, archeology, history, the inventor genius, architecture, law, sculture, the genius of theatre, press, medicine, geography, the genius of poetry, painting.

Shot by Karl Lagerfeld, this new campaign, features two among the top sought after models of the moment, Nadja Bender and Ashleigh Goodperfectly embodying the spirit of the collection and the forthcoming FENDI woman season. The models are shot in very seductive and strong poses with the striking background of Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana. Pure eclecticism and layered luxury built around a harmonious blend of avant-garde experimentation and master artisanship, the juxtaposition of materials, tones, textures and workmanship methods enhancing the playful alternation of lengths, cuts and volumes, taken to the extreme with clean linesthe natural hair and makeup, everything combines to create a spectacular set of incredibly contemporary images. Protagonists of these shootings are also FENDI’s iconic handbags as the Peekaboo, in its mini version,  and the 2Jours, together with the 3Jours and the newly introduced By The Way.

“For FENDI FW2014/15 advertising campaign, I chose Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, becauseit is one of the most graphic building in the world and one of the most famous building of modern Rome. This campaign expresses what Fendi is about for next Fall. It is very italian, it is very roman, it is very luxurious but at the same time it has a modern and young approach,” states Karl Lagerfeld.

THOMAS SABO @ FW2014/15 Collection

THOMAS SABO celebrates the diverse nature of rings for the FW2014/15 collection. The muses of the season are the legendary and elegant great Hollywood goddesses and the modern woman and her personal Karma. This allows each wearer to be inspired by the extraordinary ring designs, the radiant colours and the exquisite art-déco elements which have become new design codes of the season. Jewellery adorned with magnificent stones reflect the light in a most wonderful way because of the specially-faceted signature cuts. The lens cut lends the stones particular depth, while the hammered cut acquires its special sparkle from its irregular facets and the intensive wealth of colour and pavé zirconia provide an exceptional radiance. The eye-catching rings offer a whole range of possible combinations and continue the mix-&-match trend. Combine as many rings as possible opulence has made a comeback and is more elegant than ever before!

<OWL & KOI>
Figurative jewellery is a trend that has been decisively shaped by THOMAS SABO. The owl symbolises the feminine elegance of the night: the three-dimensional pendant with its stunning marcasite embellishment and champagne-coloured pavé zirconia gives the wearer a profound aura. In Asian mythology, the koi carp is a symbol of courage, single-mindedness and endurance. In this new THOMAS SABO collection, it is a statement piece and the expression of design competence and attention to detail. Adorned with zirconia stones along with synthetic pavé ruby, the pendant is a real eye-catcher for the décolleté of all women of strength.

<FATIMA>
As a majestic pendant, the Hand of Fatima takes centre stage on the décolleté this season. The cut out-style pendant is also adorned with the ‘Nazar eye’, which is believed to provide special protection against evil spirits. Navettecut zirconia stones, which surround a mystical checkerboard- look haematite, perfect this fabulous item of jewellery. The classical ‘Hand of Fatima’ and ‘Nazar eye’ symbols not only promise strength and fortune, the opulent pendant is also guaranteed to be the ultimate in style! This is perfectly complemented by the eye shaped cocktail ring creating a look that is every bit as glamorous as any silent movie era Hollywood goddess.

<CRUSHED PAVÉ>
The stunningly-designed structure of the irregularly-set pavé zirconia in white, black or champagne creates a dazzling look in conjunction with 925 Sterling silver or 18k rose or yellow gold plating. Combined, the pieces continue the fabulous tricolour trend in an ultra-feminine and glamorous way.

<THE ETERNITY OF LOVE>
Timeless creations in rose gold and silver with stunninglyfaceted stones in unique, signature cuts are developed by THOMAS SABO with dazzling pavé embellishment. The centrepieces of this new line are the opulent cocktail rings, adorned with aqua synthetic spinels and pink synthetic corundum and fascinating, checkerboard-look black onyx. The stones are framed with seemingly endless and repeatedly converging lines of pavé stones, symbolising the eternity of love.

<SO BLACK>
Mystical, deep-black onyx reflects the THOMAS SABO style more than any other stone. The large cocktail ring in the range makes a particularly magical impact. Multifaceted and sensual, onyx also takes centre stage on bold necklaces and bracelets. Sparkling, the dark stone reflects self-confidence, while the dazzling & glamorous black zirconia creates accents that pay homage to the elegant golden age of Hollywood. Opulent statement with filigree pavé embellishment: here, the dropshaped onyx pendant is the highlight of the range. Lavishly-adorned cocktail rings and clasps unite art-déco elements with sensual attitude.

<Karma Beads and Karma Bead Pendants>
Following the SS2014 launch of the new THOMAS SABO Karma Beads line, THOMAS SABO is now expanding the 72 existing beads to include 36 new filigree, colour-intensive designs and for the first time, 12 unique Karma Bead Pendants that accentuate any Karma Beads creation in a particularly stunning manner. Whether delicate with a leaf design, as the tree of life, protective in the form of the ‘Nazar eye’, selfconfident in the guise of the koi carp or as Fashion Stud - the numerous creative motifs of the Karma Beads and the Karma Bead Pendants can be worn on special earrings, bracelets and necklaces, hence adding even more personal joie de vivre to any individually-created item.

 <THE SECRET OF COSMO>
conceals behind the glowing colours and the exquisite details of this new range of rings. Due to the sensual, hammered look of the signature cut, the stones capture the entire rainbow of colours in all its radiance. The feminine, beautiful shapes transform these rings into colourful statements of elegance. And the colour spectrum ranging from deep sapphire-blue, delicate pink through to elegant emerald green glows particularly beautifully when earrings and pendants from the line are combined with statement rings.

<WHEEL OF KARMA RING>
In the season of rings, the Wheel of Karma ring is the absolute masterpiece with which THOMAS SABO celebrates life and draws attention to the hands. In a large size and in four expressive colours, the cocktail rings with cabochon-cut mother-of-pearl, imitation turquoise, rose quartz or onyx – are the embodiment of the wearer’s personal Karma. Filigree details, such as the Wheel of Karma or the zirconia-adorned Om symbol, lend the ring profound significance, revealing the full Karma of its wearer.

<COOL CERAMICS>
Exquisite ceramic cosies up to classically-dazzling pavé zirconia. The new ceramic rings represent self-confidence with their clear, graphic design the look of the existing two-tone ceramic range and the trendy ceramic watches.

Club Monaco FW2014 Collection @ Taking Inspiration From Icons of The 70’s

Club Monaco FW2014/15 collection taking inspiration from icons of the 70’s. For July; Club Monaco utilized classic neutrals with pops of rose, pale pink, and tulip-red, alongside paisley and floral prints. As the summer comes heightens, the colors evolve into richer tones of plum, navy, and tan with a hint of red through the accessories to add an unexpected splash of color. As fall approached we celebrate with dark florals, peppered with shades of purple and pinks to complement the changing of the season.

The men’s collection explores the idea of modernity and patterns in new updated classics while playing with different fabric textures. The color palette for the season is grey based with red, navy, and tan for July; maroon and purple accents for August; and finally, hints of army green for September.

The Holiday collection inspired by the dark elegance of winter coupled with a modern take on two stand-out eras in fashion. This season Club Monaco takes a journey to Peru, and continues to evolve Holiday gifting for men with options from across the globe.

“The 70’s are always a source of inspiration,” said Caroline Belhumeur, head designer for womenswear at Club Monaco. “This season, we used fabric, embellishments, and color that has a 70’s meets 90’s feel. It’s not vintage, rather fresh and updated. The result was a sensual vibe created through the strategic use of leather.

There is also an emphasis on new proportions and shapes, and we see this with sweaters and outerwear which are oversized, yet, maintain an edgy, feminine feeling.” With a 70’s inspiration Caroline embraced true winter colors: olives alongside different levels of Club Monaco’s heritage colors of black and white. The collection welcomes winter and gives the customer a mix of cozy, fuzzy textures.

Alongside the oversized sweaters sits the Luxury Weekend Modern Peru capsule collection launching in October. These chunky sweaters, ponchos, and accessories are made from Peruvian alpaca and yarns which is hand knitted with the women’s cooperative, Manos, in Uruguay. This world renowned coop is known for its craftsmanship and their wares perfectly complement the winter pieces from Club Monaco.

As December approaches the collection celebrates fringe, lace, and tassels which are peppered throughout the line. Colors evolve into richer tones of plum, navy, and metallic. Pearl embellishments on jumpsuits, skirts, and dresses add an unexpected twist to traditional holiday dressing.

The men’s and women’s collection complement each other. Deep blues, floral patterns, and chunky textures make a seamless transition to the colder months for both men and women. “For fall we keep evolving and pushing our brand forward, said Aaron Levine head of men’s designs. “The key factors we considered most were fabric and silhouettes, while continuing to refine the collection as a whole. It’s important to make sure our fits are familiar, yet polished. We want our guys to be blown away at the continued evolution of our offering.”

The men’s collection explores the idea of elevated luxury with updated fits and detailing in all categories. The collection takes outwear to an unexpected level this season with updated topcoats, peacots, and blazers for work to weekend wear. Unexpected editorial additions enhance the collection, including leather sweatpants for men, Zespa sneakers out of France, and the sellout leather bombers are back this season with a new, modern fit.
