It is recognized by museum curators, magazine editors, jewelry historians, auction houses and jewelry maisons as a leading source and authority on rare jewelry, gemstones and objects of art. As the third generation gem and jewelry business, SIEGELSON is renowned for discriminating taste and acquiring extraordinarily beautiful creations for their unique inventory.
Returning to Fine Art Asia for the 2ndyear, SIEGELSON will feature a series of rare and antique jewelry including an Art Deco Moghul emerald, sapphire and diamond pendant necklace by Cartier, Parisin 1925. Created in the year of the important Art Deco exposition in Paris, this is one of the most important examples of Cartier jewelry from the 1920s. Also formerly the property of The Duchess of Windsor is an art moderne blue chalcedony, sapphire, and diamond suite of jewelry designed by Suzanne Belperronin 1935. This set, in The Duchess of Windsor’s favorite shade of blue, was the famous record-setting 1987 auction of the duchess’s jewels. SIEGELSON deals exclusively with the best examples in five specialty areas: fine gemstones and diamonds, antique and estate jewelry, objects of art, contemporary designers, and jewelry by SIEGELSON. In each category, SIEGELSON follows strict aesthetic guidelines based on accumulated knowledge and experience as well as research in the company’s extensive library.
As a jewelry connoisseur, Lee Siegelson, President of SIEGELSON, his professionalism is highly recommended by The Robb Report, “Known for his collection of rarefied estate jewelry, Lee Siegelson of SIEGELSON is not concerned with a jewel’s provenance, signature, or commercial appeal; he selects pieces solely for their beauty and rarity. His collection ranges from 19th-century jewelry to pieces from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras to contemporary designs from Daniel Brush and Michelle Ong. When he acquires extraordinary gems, he designs his own pieces around them to embody the design aesthetic and craftsmanship of an earlier era.” SIEGELSON contributes to many jewelry and decorative arts books by supplying authors with illustrations. In the past five years Siegelson has been a lender to fifteen museum exhibitions such as the Egyptian-inspired scarab buckle was a keynote jewel selected for the exhibition, Cartier and America, held at the legion of honor, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, while Van Cleef & Arpels selected a pictorial diamond and gem-set pendant brooch for their retrospective, The Spirit of Beauty at the Mori Arts Center in Tokyo.

Marina Rinaldi @ Fall 2012 Collection

Marina Rinaldi Fall 2012 Collection talks of America and this is the continent which offered inspiration for defining the trend guidelines for the coming fall season. The feature of the collection is femininity. Fashion femininity is not shouted from the rooftops, it is made of form more than detail and is strongly contaminated by the typical elements of masculine clothing. Black is back, but the collections will also present lots of dark colours, blue, grey and dark brown.
In order to cope with the cold winter months warmer fabrics and knitwear, which is always an important element, with a slightly thicker weave, have been chosen. Femininity is still the leitmotif of the product.

ORLANE @ New Anti-Aging Oxygenation System

When skin is aging, the cells renew themselves less effectively. More and more replication errors occur within the DNA, causing a loss of efficiency in the skin’s structures and its protective mechanisms. The ORLANE Laboratories, pioneers in the field of anti-aging skincare, launched Anti-Aging Oxygenation System to reawakening the cell’s youth, vitality and energy. It stimulates Sirt 3 to protect cells and mitochondria to improve their longevity. The skin cells are re-energized, with stores of free energy almost equivalent to those of young cells. The skin is refreshed and smoother, its vital energy restored, the face appears younger. A concentrated 28-day program that treats the very source of aging and the loss of skin radiance.

Bérénice Marlohe @ OMEGA’s Newest Brand Ambassador

Bérénice Marlohe - The new Bond's girl is the new face of  OMEGA’s  brand ambassadors and has recently participated in the opening of the brand’s new boutique in Venice. The half-French half-Cambodian actress portrays Séverine in SKYFALL, the James Bond film and will mark her English-language acting debut for Ms Marlohe whose previous film roles have been in her native French.
Describing her role of Séverine, Bérénice says that she was described by the writers and director as glamorous and enigmatic. “For me,” she says, “enigmatic is very important because I wanted to create a character who couldn’t be stereotyped. It should not be obvious immediately what kind of person she is.” She adds, “Daniel Craig has added something special with James Bond – he’s both tough and vulnerable and it’s not always clear what he’s thinking. I want to do the same thing with Séverine – she’s not just on the screen to be saved by Bond.”
“What I like about working in English is that it gives me freedom. Because I’m not acting in my own language, I can escape the trap that we sometimes fall into when we act in our mother tongue. On the other hand, of course, is that if you weren’t raised with certain words, they don’t have real meaning to you so it can be tricky. But I truly enjoy acting in languages other than French. It’s important to remember that I didn’t arrive on the film set suddenly, by accident. It was a long journey of many, many years and of being passionate about my art. As a result, I'm going through it in a very normal and peaceful way. But it is certainly true that even people I had known previously are looking at me a bit differently, which is strange.” Said Marlohe.

CHAUMET @ New Watches Collection

Since 1998, when it was created, the Class One has achieved the status of the ultimate Sport Chic watch, as the first jewellery diving timepiece. In 2012, High Watchmaking meets High Jewellery. The Class One, endowed with a tourbillon escapement mechanism, considered to be the most ingenious of watchmaking complications, is adorned with a breath-taking array of precious stones. Each watch is embellished with an exceptional selection of 558 stones representing a total weight of over 25 carats.  There are two unique pieces; diamond and blue sapphire or diamond and ruby and two limited editions of four pieces each in white diamonds and black diamonds.

Each version presents an XL size 42 mm case in white gold which is entirely set with calibre baguette-cut stones from the bezel to the side of the case, including the horns and crown. The dial, set with invisible-setting baguette-cut diamonds, features a tourbillon cage enhanced with a baguette contour at 11 o’clock. On the reverse, the sapphire glass on the case-back reveals the automatic mechanism CP12V-X Zénith for Chaumet with an oscillating weight that is engraved with the Class One motif and set with a row of stones that match those on the bezel. These models are presented on an integrated alligator strap with a white gold folding buckle paved with baguette-cut diamonds and precious stones.
The Arty edition offers a new version of the Dandy watch, launched in 2009. The classic dial disappears to reveal the movement plate, black lacquered and surrounded by an extra-large audacious flange. Telling the time becomes horizontal with the hours and minutes positioned on one side of the dial, at 9 o’clock, and the small second’s indicator on the other, at 3 o’clock. The cushion-shaped case pays tribute to pocket watches and the crown is positioned at 12 o’clock. Today, CHAUMET ventures further into bold design with an Arty watch that is even more surprising than ever. The Maison’s jewellery savoir-faire adorns it with two new flanges in ornamental stones, protected by a sapphire glass. Indeed, the snowflakes of the Snow Obsidian model or the golden hues of Tiger’s Eye continue their journey towards the hours, minutes and second. A miracle of nature, each ornamental stone motif is one of a kind which makes each Dandy Arty edition Open Face unique. The watchmaking savoir-faire of the Maison transforms it into a living spectacle.

The movement plate has been skilfully cut-out to reveal a section of the mechanism’s bridge as well as the perpetual rotation of the second’s wheel. On the reverse, the case-back unveils, through a sapphire glass that has been engraved with the emblematic Dandy striped motif, the automatic rewinding mechanism designed by Jean-Marc Wiederrecht for CHAUMET, featuring an oscillating weight adorned with the Dandy tapisserie motif. Snowy Obsidian and steel or Tiger’s Eye and pink gold are the two original duos presented for this bold new Dandy Arty, edited in two limited series of 12 and 18 pieces and equipped with a black patent leather strap with a striped satin decor and folding buckle.
