PINKO @ FW2013/14 Collection

PINKO FW2013/14 collection revisits the influences and inspirations behind that revolutionary age by showcasing three different bold, sassy and versatile looks fine for a mild early fall season bustling with both casual and dressy occasions. Skirts may still play up bare legs, while jackets are definitely open to all possibilities. Now is the chance to relive this chic, upbeat mood through modern-day fabrics and shapes, perfectly firm and well cut. No vintage here, it’s time for proportions with a cool sixties twist.
<Techno romance> Soft sweet poplin captures a warm glint of light, deep dark green brings to life a lovely autumn palette. Fabrics and shapes make a charmingly inventive statement where the pale blue blouse features black Valenciennes lace trim and the little dress + shell work wonders with white macramé. The gamechanger is in the neoprene/leather/patent leather tech inserts. As for the handbags and rucksacks, they take functional elegance to new heights. <Floral pop> Digital  flower prints vibrate with energy, reverberate with a fab alternation of shades and hues, plain tone nuances. A high-waisted skirt identifies the latest in a suit (complete with cropped neoprene T-shirt) and even the coat comes in neoprene.
<Special Evening> A big night out in late September or so offers us every opportunity to have fun the seductive PINKO way with airy light dresses, long and sheer, offset by sexy knits and chunky accent elements. <Black & white tapestry> Gobelin is synonymous with a kind of tapestry famous for rich pictorial design. Pinko revisits the art in combo with leather for the most formal of occasions. Then to downplay the effect there are little jacquard boleros, a fine leather tee, an irresistible sweatshirt with extrathick embroidery.
<Folk mood> Setting the tone in this case are the partial prints that enhance the simple lines, the varying lengths and volumes of the single pieces. The gypsy look takes on an ethnic chic allure with sleek silhouettes, soft jacquard wools, while lovely satin blouses and come-apart colliers add a light touch to the main creations.
<Slick fit> Here’s a series of basics – knits, jackets, tech items – where the novelty consists in the use of leather inserts and the red & only red color. As for the strong point, it’s in the absolute practicality of the clothes, namely the easy slim fit and the easy care factor (despite multi material mixes). The leather-sleeve sweaters are the sole articles presenting a softer, fuller fit.
