Michael Kors X Halle Berry @ Watch Hunger Stop Campaign

Michael Kors announces Halle Berry has again committed to joining the Watch Hunger Stop campaign to help build a world with zero hunger. As an honorary partner of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), Berry will work with Kors to raise awareness as well as funds for WFP. Berry first joined Michael Kors in the spring of 2013 to help launch the Watch Hunger Stop campaign. She was instrumental in introducing the 100 Series watch, specially designed to support WFP. For each 100 Series watch sold, 100 children in a hunger-stricken area receive a nutritious meal. This fall, she will lend her time and her face to promote the latest addition to the 100 Series - a limited-edition, rose gold–tone watch with a detailed map of the world etched on a striking gray-blue dial. Berry will be accompanying WFP to Nicaragua this summer, visiting some of the schools and farms that have benefitted from the Watch Hunger Stop campaign. The visit will give her a firsthand look at the work WFP does in local communities as well as highlight the ongoing need to fight hunger that exists in countries around the globe. The actress will also be in attendance at the Eighth Annual God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards dinner on Thursday, October 16, 2014, where she will present honoree Leslie Moonves, President and CEO of CBS Corporation, with the Golden Heart Award for Lifetime Achievement. “I’m delighted to continue working with Michael Kors and the UN World Food Programme in this effort to achieve a world without hunger,” says Berry. “Since we first launched the 100 Series watch last spring, we’ve helped WFP deliver more than five million meals to children in need. I’m proud of what we’ve done together and eager to continue this effort to make a difference in the lives of people in need.” “I’m so pleased that Halle Berry has decided to continue her amazing work with us,” says Michael Kors. “Her enormous dedication to Watch Hunger Stop is one of the reasons we’ve reached so many people and helped deliver five million school meals. Halle’s talent and energy are inspiring, and I look forward to working together with her in the fight against hunger.” * For every 100 Series watch sold, Michael Kors will donate US $25 to WFP.
