HACKETT @ SS2015 Gentlemen's Sports Collection

HACKETT SS2015 Gentlemen's Sports Collection  warmly welcomed everyone to the Honourable Artillery Company. The new 27-look Hackett pays homage to the great sporting events of the British summer calendar and puts the stylish male spectator centre stage. Elegant micro patterns and jacquards featuring polka dots, flowers and miniature horses give depth and interest to shirting and tailoring.

This is the gentleman who is in control: the owner of the sailing team or stable who participates by orchestrating events and by being the driving force behind these winning teams. Hackett is reinterpreting the look and style of British menswear at these classic events by recreating and updating them for the contemporary, successful man with a modern lightness and fluidity.

The collection opened with a Riviera section strong in nautical blues with accents of clean white. Separates dominate with the flexibility to be mixed and matched. Breaking up the formality, while still retaining the dressed quality, Hackett’s sporting gentleman continues to look the part throughout his sporting day.

His next sporting social occasion is a weekend at the polo which inspires a strong equestrian section with a palette of bone, off-white and cream. Soft summer tweeds, in Hackett’s signature tailoring, offer the perfect backdrop for this neutral palette. Knitted polo shirts offer a casual formality and a modern ease of dressing.

The finale was influenced by the Henley Regatta, the Boat Race and cricket. Crisp white is the base for boating stripes and team colours. Encapsulating the thrill of the race, the energy of the game and the injection of adrenaline, cashmere and silk knitwear in fine gauges give the Hackett man a slim silhouette while offering him the ability to remain active and in control.

Accessories include leather bags piped in creams, tans and bright colours.
