TOD'S hosted the first DOTS OF LIFE event worldwide in Hong Kong recently with the beautiful display of printed portraits of the influencers around the world and of course, with the setting of the house’s iconic gommino. An Italian artisan has specially flown in for the event to demonstrate the making of the shoe, to emphasis on the sign of craftsmanship that are Made in Italy.
The new digital era keeps rolling, where protagonists change the rule of the games, introducing themselves and their lifestyle through the product. The project started online with 90 trendsetting bloggers, with an ever increasing number of participants, who share their portraits, interpreting the Tod’s Gommino and its iconic rubber sole composed by 133 “Dots”. They have chosen Gommino as a sign of distinction for its beauty and craftsmanship. With the popularity of the Gommino images shared, this group has become a community- a “digital club”. This is a platform where everybody can find portraits about personal lifestyles while wearing their favorite shoes. These images are all gathered in the Gallery on www.gommino.tods.com
