<The Mortal Instruments : City of Bones> is familiar, it borrows the ingredients from the fantasy movies that have made is the past years but unfortunately the movie doesn't seem know what to to do with it. It is a little bit here and there, seemingly, you are watching <Twilight> in the run, the other second, it may seems <The Hunger Game> chase and <Harry Potter> monster fantasy or <Percy Jackson> epic echo. There are indeed too many similarity from previous successful films made we lost count of the formulaic action wannabe by planting the already known plots into dull and predictable enlargement. All the usual suspects are here, vampires, demons and demon chasers, werewolves, warlocks comes ins different forms and sizes makes a soulless knockoff. For studio in search of a franchise gold mine by exploiting the same demographic would be the next best thing for the teen market. They better get it right for the sequel.
