Our unforgettable Balinese lifestyle with Alila experience began when we were greeted by the Hotel General Manager Marco Groten and his team Ayu (our Villa Host) and Rina (Head Host) who looked after us so well with hassle free during our stay. Being on holiday is about celebrating your own choice in living, in rhythm and cultivating your personal priority as perfection is defined individually combined with the hospitality know-how to make your stay "surprisingly different" ~ that is exactly what Alila means and of course, after all, life is about living it.

Staying with Alila Villas Soori in one of the most spectacular locations sweeping the views across the emerald expanse of rice fields that stretch towards the mystical Mount Batukaru in the horizon and the sensational Indian Ocean coastline is how a perfect holiday shall begin. By admiring the contemporary architecture with traditional elements and indigenous features inspired by the terracotta craftsmen from nearby Pejaten and the sandstone artisans of the neighbouring Kelating is another plus. Locals use sandstone from the village of Kelating to build temples and shrines all over the island and this indigenous material was also used in the construction of Alila Villas Soori which was crafted into intricate collage wall patterns visible throughout the villa, spa, restaurants and lobby. Certain colours of sandstone can be strongly identified with certain regions - Kelating sandstone is cool grey, promoting a sense of tranquility and space ideally suited to the environs of Alila Villas Soori.

Ayu checked us into the pool villa with a brief yet detail introduction of the in room facilities while we were looking out through our beautiful pool view on the upper level. The panoramic views across the azure Indian Ocean and the volcanic-sand beach is one of the best way to embrace Bali's unique balance of tranquility and vitality. This stunning  villa resort combines exclusive living and relaxation and fully integrating the beach experience that create a vibrant mix of spaces for rejuvenation and stimulation of all the senses.

Our one bedroom Ocean Pool villa is with complete privacy, the private villa has a direct access to the beach. It is designed to connect living spaces to the soothing sights and sounds of the natural surroundings. The inner courtyards open to the sky, letting in natural light and ocean breezes. An outdoor pavilion is the perfect place from which to relax and enjoy the views by day or night. The comforts and custom designed interiors offer the absolute height in luxury and hi-tech functionality.

In Alila Villas Soori, we have learned to spoil yourself at the perfect Spa Alila experience for rejuvenation. This time we did it differently, we had organized a hair stimulation Massage for self pampering. This is an invigorating and highly nourishing hair and scalp treatment that powerfully stimulates hair growth through a combination of massage techniques and beneficial plants extracts. An old tradition beauty therapies that also help to improve your balance and elevate your spirits.

A late afternoon swim in the 30-metre-long infinity pool and gaze across the glistening ocean by hearing the big white Ombak (waves) hits to the shore is another total relaxation in Alila Villas Soori.

The next morning, we were organized a Segway Rendezvous from one of the many Alila Villas Soori Exclusive Journey Tours. The tour was designed to integrate indigenous nature, traditional culture and local community for an unparalleled experience. This self-drive on the Segway after 3 minutes of intensive training, you will be able to drive on your own to the neighbourhood in a stylish way. The tour took us to visit the Puri Kerambitan and to learn the history of the Kerambitan area by witnessing the real daily activities of the Balinese, such as the local market scenes, rice paddy and Balinese house compound.

Our experience of stay was centred on a unique emotional moments between the hospitality and destination. Away from the island's more well-beaten tourist trails, we got a sense of the "real Bali" by the indulgence of luxury.
