DON JON

For the first and ever written and directed feature film by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, <DON JON> is quite a compliment for this talented actor turn film director/produce. Levitt had written some well received plays in the past and won him much more confident in taking up the directorial role this time. Indeed, there's more to life than just a happy ending especially when you could possibly have a life partner like Scarlett Johansson kind of girl, what else would you ask for? Unfortunately Jon (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) would prefer finding his finest fling and bliss alone in front of the computer watching pornography. Mind you, it is personal and that doesn't mean Jon couldn't find the fun that he wants from the girls that he met. It is just the other kind of joy one would like to achieve.  In fact, when was the last time you watch the internet porn and get off with it? That's right, it was rather personal. Don't ask don't tell makes it rules. Physically, Gordon-Levitt had at least trained so far to boost up his gym-tan muscle for playing Jon and he is not just a muscle guy with dumb head but also quite witty when comes to the scripts writing in <DON JON>. All he cares about is his body, his pad, his family and his church and the character is real, authentic and smartly executed by Gordon-Levitt.
