JOYCE @ SS2013 Collection Preview

JOYCE rolled out the red carpet and partners with the world’s finest brands for an exclusive SS2013 review recently. Over the years this bi-annual trunk show has become a must for the region’s fashionistas looking to discover the hottest trends and accessories for the upcoming season.
The brands in SS2013 includes collections by Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Christopher Kane, Dries Van Noten, Dsquared2, Etro, Gamme Rouge, Giambattista Valli, Givenchy, Haider Ackermann, Jil Sander, Lanvin, Manish Arora, Mary Katrantzou, Meadham Kirchoff, Oscar de la Renta, Peter Pilotto, Quentin Veron ,Rick Owens, JOYCE by Romeo Gigli, Sacai, Saint Laurent Paris, Stella McCartney, Toga, Vera Wang, Victoria Beckham, Vionnet and Yang Du and many more.


The Highlights for this year include the second JOYCE by Romeo Gigli collection created by legendary Italian designer Romeo Gigli. The line appeals to a new generation looking for modern and relevant fashion and features Gigli’s signature romantic silhouettes updated with a modern twist. 

A specially designed window are also dedicated to the SS2013 collection, an exquisite lookbook of 14 stunning pictures has been shot by renowned Paris-based photographer Thomas Devaux, featuring 14 style icons with their unique style to portrait Gigli’s latest creation. The 14 portraits will form an exhibition at JOYCE Central flagship store together with the collection.



Top trends to look out for this spring include high-low skirts, ruffles and transparency, as women’s wear moves towards a more refined vision of femininity. Colours run the gamut from edgy black and white to rich jewel tones that signal the start of summer. Men, meanwhile, are embracing their feminine side with floral patterns and sheer fabrics. Short suits are a great alternative for city boys while metallic touches add a futuristic edge.
