Miu Miu FW2015 Collection

Miu Miu FW2015 Collection inspired by the constantly changing image of fashion, the collection is the result of typically contradictory elements and combinations. The clichés of femininity are investigated with the leitmotiv of eccentricity and spontaneity in constructing a look of one’s own, inspired and distinguished by the provocative spirit of the brand. In a constant game of contrasts, consolidated stylistic rules are broken down and reassembled, giving elegance and sophistication a new appearance.

The feminine obsession for the animalier motif is reinterpreted in an unusual way; the leopard and crocodile print are applied to hyper-classic fabrics, such as natté, or to alternative ones, such as ciré, obtaining a pop aesthetic. In a game of true and false, the real python is paired with imitation crocodile or printed leopard. Summer swundresses are unexpectedly proposed in tweed in bright colours, classic pullovers are developed in Shetland, worn all the time with striped cotton canvas.

The same canvas features in the final looks, used for sophisticated evening gowns, with a vaguely Victorian inspiration, with precious embroidery in crystals. The silhouette is in “A” lines and is distinguished by lengths which are never beyond the knee. The colour palette alternates and unites typically winter colours (black, navy blue, bottle green) with bright shades such as yellow, orange and acid green which are even brighter when developed on ciré or python.

The leather goods and footwear have the inspiration of the season, the accessories for each look are unique pieces by their shape, leather or fabric. The jewellery, earrings and necklaces, are very important parts of the looks and like the clothing are in deliberately oversized shapes.

The bags are characterized by very rich constructions, proposed in different colour and leather combinations. Different materials are separated and reassembled obtaining an unexpected result: the sophisticated craquelé leather is introduced, python is associated with Plexiglas whilst the iconic matelassé forms an original combination with the animalier print.

Bowling, Handbag with detail of chain handle and Madras (the now iconic silhouettes of this group are now reinterpreted in new materials and leathers) As for the bags, the footwear proposed at the show are never repeated; each look has a different combination by model or colour variant, Classicism and modernity emerge from the mix of style, establishing a new balance made up of contrasts.

Three macro-divisions are possible: by shape, by leather and by heel

By shape: court, moccasins, sandals, ankle boots

By leather: patent, python, glitter, satin

By heel: kitten heel, chunky heel, stiletto
