《MARELLA + Milla @ FW2012 Collection》

MARELLA FW2012/13 boosts its cooperation with the actress and model Milla Jovovich, face of its 2012 advertising campaigns. The company’s creative team has designed a capsule collection in collaboration with Milla inspired by her style which is totally in sync with Marella brand philosophy: a simple and accurate silhouette, mixed with strong elements such as colour, print or texture that make garments special and unique. Jackets and coats, the iconic pieces of the brand, are designed in different styles and revamped in fits, prints and colours according to Milla’s eclectic personality. Blazers, trench coat and leather jacket are paired with silk dress and tops, or with skinny eco-leather and wool pants. And of course, the animal print, which gives a rock appeal to the look. The collection, entirely made in Italy.
The actress first met the world of Marella while shooting the SS2012 advertising campaign. Truly charismatic and with a fresh and natural beauty, Milla immediately embraced and perfectly interpreted the spirit of the brand. She is a confident and resolute woman who skillfully masters her work and family duties adding that touch of cheerfulness that makes her absolutely irresistible. Milla, a mix of passion, energy, natural attitude: that’s how “Marella + Milla”capsule collection was conceived, with the idea of merging these two worlds by emphasizing both distinctiveness and features.

Cold days come and fashion picks a strong color: red. Vermillion, lacquer or scarlet, it's redmania: daytime on the flower printed tunic-blouse; nighttime on draped dresses; anytime on the blouclé blazer. The trench is the hero piece this season: classic, in natural hues, or emerald tone for the rainproof fabric, or black and white wool jacquard or even animal printed in the capsule collection Marella+Milla. The total print look, the obsessive use of one pattern from head to toes, chooses the pied-de-coq. Two examples: the tweed coat in black, grey and red and the cady dress in black, grey and pearl.

Double-breasted or robe-like coats, blazers and tailored suits: the workwear looks fresh with ergonomic cuts, contrasting profiles and precious fibers such as cashmere, fur-effect alpaca and Prince of Wales. Handmade embroideries, tulle details, black on black polka-dots prints, velvet inserts, showcase on three difference shapes: fluid, tunic-like, body-con. Exactly sensual and chic.
