Roberto Cavalli @ Home Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2014

Roberto Cavalli presents the new Wings armchair: an innovative seating concept. The vivid style and spirit that informs the Maison ventures into design world territory with a characteristic dose of daring that culminates in WingsThe surprise is in the seating; Wings is an unexpected design piece which tells an unconventional story. An armchair that breaks the rules with complete nonchalance. An iconic element in a collection which touches the worlds of luxury and of industrial design. Roberto Cavalli Home collection represents a merging of themes and cultures which pay homage to the heritage of Italian and European design. This collection includes heat fusion techniques, foam, and primary colors, floral prints, stripes and all-over printed glass combined with nickel steel and chrome. The setting is dynamic-it unfolds at the new boutique on Via Montenapoleone 6, in a loft setting, overlooking a virtual skyline.

The main reference for the collection is radical design;  the most experimental moment in the Italian culture of interior design. Red, gold and black-and-white are presented among the prints, alternated by stripes and roses. The element of surprise is large and surreal; placed at the center of the sofa as if it had just sat down. Wings is the armchair accompanied by the maxi-rose sofa. The mobile bar, the coffee table and the bookcase also feature iconic prints, but this time under resin. Miniature Wings chairs surround the sculpture table. The nighttime area is and minimal and pure, with a white chest of drawers and a bed featuring a metal chrome canopy and headboard with leather inlay detail.
