A: Angelababy

M: What is your first impression of Pulau Lang Tengah?
A: Before I made my way to Pulau Lang Tengah and I had heard about how beautiful this island is, my imagination and fantasy towards this island hasn't failed me after when I arrived. We had a transit in Kuala Lumpur and then with a connecting flight right away to Kuala Terengganu. We took the afternoon speedboat to get into the island and the first thing came to my mind was: WOW!! we are really away from everything, it is so quiet and peaceful, the journey was absolutely magical. Another thought hits me just like that and I asked myself a question, will there be any internet or wire connection for us to connect with the outside world? I was panic for a while but after when we checked-in to the hotel, we discovered that the hotel on the island are with modern infrastructure and it was such a relief that in fact our worries wasn't really need to be taken into consideration at all. I was pleased with such pleasant arrangement.

M: Tell us some special moments during the movie making?
A: There are quite a few indeed, in fact I snorkeled quite a bit as I was really excited, I saw a couple of mini sharks and a turtle, also there are some fishes that they do glow in the water, I was quite amazed by that. Besides, we have eaten quite a bit of local seafood. The crew had built a romantic chapel on the sea which we use that a lot for filming; during hide tides, the water level rise horizontally where the chapel was built, when you walk on it, you were like float on the water, it was quite amazing.

M: What was the biggest challenge or you think you have not done well enough in the role that you played and there is room for improvements?
A: In this movie, there were quite a few scenes that I need to cry out loud,. At first, I can't really fall into the emotion but when the film director Jingle Ma told me a few stories that it was quite emotional and he was then started crying, the next to follow was me and even my assistant who ran away and hide somewhere else to sob. Ma was then set the camera and let it roll while I was crying without saying "cut" but when the film stopped rolling, I can't help but still having my tears run out like water. Check out the scene when I was at the chapel, bus stop and being isolated on an island. I learned quite a bit of acting skills from Ma after shooting this film, thanks to him for sharing some inside "techniques" of  movie making.

M: Does the location helps you to play your role better?
A: A peaceful and quiet location helps me with better concentration and focus on what I was doing. In such beautiful island, it was not only inspired me but also adding more emotions to fall for the character that I played. I could juggle my emotion even better.

M: How do you think about the locals who live there at all time?
A: They are very lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful island with pristine beaches and having great weather everyday. With great food and great view, such a paradise! Also, their hospitality and friendliness impressed me the most.

M: Would you consider Pulau Lang Tengah as an ideal place of living?
A: I wouldn't say no to that but if I do so, I must build my own house there, I will ensure there will not be any mosquitoes and insects in my house and it has to be fully air-conditioning. The heat is quite unbearable but when you think of there is a crystal clear water right ahead of you and you can embrace it at once, there won't be anymore worries. I would love to come back someday, hopefully not too far in the near future for a vacation like this, I don't mind not having any connection with the outside world for a couple of days and embrace the beautiful given nature entirely.
