Hotel Proverbs Taipei @ A Veiled Luxury Boutique Design Hotel

Traveling is about experiencing the difference from what your own home country may be lacking of and what endure are the moments that moved your soul or altered your mind from the unique experiences that stay with you as time passes. By choosing the right boutique and design hotel especially from the Design Hotels group, your trip will only be extraordinary from the original experiences that they offer. The 42 rooms and suites Hotel Proverbs Taipei is with no exception. mylifestylenews writes.

Fronted by the rectilinear façade of black mesh, the hotel references the depictions of dark and surreal scenes of Goya’s 19th century print series “Proverbios” which is what it is famous for. Through abundant copper, natural wood, leather elements, stone and delicate fabrics, this is what makes Hotel Proverbs Taipei the epitome of modern day luxury living. Hotel Proverbs Taipei is the latest design from the renowned architect Ray Chen, with his minimalistic “green building” capturing the essence of lavish living, passionate expression and modern beauty.

The postmodern structure is topped by a rooftop pool and many surrounding trees can be seen through strips of polished glass. In addition to the green spaces endemic to the hotel, the geometric and mysterious form of the building adds an intrigue to an otherwise steely minimalist structure and stand out in the Da’an District and surrounded by the infamous and hundreds of local street food stores as well as refined stand alone restaurants in the alleyways just a stone's throw away.

This district at the eastern part of Taipei has recently seen a surge of development, establishing it as one of the city’s most commercially active areas and plays host to a number of international businesses, shopping districts and of course copious opportunities for fine dining and bar culture.

Spacious and uniquely design bathroom

Details are looked after, natural light floods many interior spaces, illuminating the myriad materials that were chosen by Chen. The rooms are uniquely designed and conceptually divided into living, bathroom, and sleeping areas with an unexpected quirk that doesn’t conform to convention.

A light hint of Scandinavian influence with the monotone velvet sofa and partly carpeted wooden flooring as well as the exterior copper elements wrapped around the building, the décor adds some industrial design mood to it especially the heavy specially treated stainless steel room doors with tons of finger prints on it. Hence, such an interior makes it a stand out from the conventional hotels and become a rare find in the city.

The hotel's TK Seafood & Steak restaurant created by Culinary Director Fudy Chen is the place to go for premium steaks and seasonal seafood cuisine, where the restaurant employs a harbor-to-aquarium-to-plate process, with fine food and wine mingled into an intimate and indulgent pleasure in its three-story-high and radiantly-lit space.

We love the cozy East End bar and lounge adjacent to the small front desk reception for check-in. Located on the 3rd floor, East End bar provides an open view of the Da’an neighborhood from its outdoor seating area, as well as fascinating intimacy in its chic, private indoor space. The mood changes during the day and night with great pipe-in jazz music throughout.

The rooftop swimming pool

The rooftop swimming pool is overlooking Da'an district as well as Taipei 101

The minimalistic “green building” captures the essence of lavish living, passionate expression and modern beauty.

Breakfast is served at TK Seafood & Steak restuarant for a more casual dining experience, with semi buffet style, plus a menu to order your hot dishes with the fresh catch of the day and daily farm delivered produce on offer here.

The service is worth mentioning here as the staff are quite prompt by looking into your needs by making your stay even more memorable without much fuss. Hotel Proverbs Taipei is surely adding a dash of hedonism in the process for you to indulge yourself by roaming around these stylistic feasts and admiring the design & decor with ultimate pleasure by yearning for splendor.
