CHOPARD L’Heure du Diamant Won Award @ Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneva

Chopard announced its L’Heure du Diamant timepiece has won the award for Jewellery Watch Prize at the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneva on 15th November 2013.  Present at the event was Mr Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Chopard’s Co-President. The sublime radiance of jewellery expressed as a watch? Creating this timepiece calls upon the finest in-house craftsmen and requires hundreds of hours of work. It all begins with human hands: the expert, patient and inventive hands of the artisans of Chopard who take turns in delicately fashioning this exceptional piece. 
  From draughtsman to watchmaker, jeweller, gemsetter and polisher, the full range of specialists unite their skills in giving shape to the most daring dreams. Depending on its shape, it houses a mechanical movement. Traditionally crafted in 18-carat rose gold, it is meticulously set with a refined combination of marquise-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds that exalt the beauty of its lines and proportions.  The strap of this sublime ladies’ watch is set with 80 marquise-cut diamonds (13.49cts) and 994 diamonds (17.21cts) while its dial is set with 24 marquise-cut diamonds.
This is the 4th time that Chopard gained award at Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneva.  The past 3 awards are listed as belows:

2006: L.U.C XP watch winning the “Extra Flat” category
2010: High Jewellery “Owl” watch winning the “Jewellery Watch Prize”
2012: Imperiale Tourbillon Joaillerie winning the “Jewellery & Artistic Crafts Watch Prize”
