Harvey Nichols AW2012 @ Around the World Fashion Show

Harvey Nichols and Pacific Place presented a AW2012 Around the world fashion show showcasing the best of Harvey Nichols A 2012 collections and with selected fashion pieces to be exhibited in Pacific Place for an extended period.
An elaboration of the initial concept, “MY STAGE”  with models exiting towards various directions on the stage, overhead translucent screens playing digitalized images and revolving platforms on stage concluded the dynamic image of the show featured 72 looks presented by 36 models who took guests on a journey around the world with 3 different trends, with the final stop being Seoul, Korea.

A spectacular digitalized projections surrounded the stage illustrating the landmarks from all around the world where only the most recognized labels share the stage. As the lights dimmed and music echoed through the hall, models in illustrious labels such as Lanvin, Azzedine Alaia, Viktor & Rolf, Alexandre Vauthier, Kris Van Assche and Wooyoungmi strut out to capture the attention of the crowd. From the chiffon fabrics to the draped cutting, no small details were overlooked with the aim in portraying the <Forever Romantic> natural beauty and soul of the physical body by these major international designer labels.

The stage was then set for possibly the grandest and most spiritual compilation of evening wear by Marchesa, Azzaro, Badgley Mischka, Monique Lhuillier and Lagerfeld. Embellished with sequins and lined with luxury materials such as lace and silk, each evening attire exerted elegance.
The show then progressed to the city of Seoul where the new fashion capital gives birth to a breed of stylish, fiercely progressive urban fashion warriors with exciting names such as pushBUTTON, MVIO, JKOO, Goen J and more. Spilling neons, metallics and unconventional materials into the looks to paint a whole new landscape in the fashion scene. The show ended on a high with a cocktail which transported guests right back to the sound and sights of Seoul.
