Coach’s latest digital collaboration is with Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist, the pioneering “street style” photography blog. Schuman, in his distinct style, photographed 10 of his favorite New Yorkers carrying bags from the Legacy Collection. Called “Legacy of Style,” the collaboration and accompanying video went live on September 5 on Coach.com.
“I think a Legacy of Style is something very unique. It’s what separates trend and something that’s hot for a moment. I think not very many companies have been able to achieve something like that. It’s about consistency,” says Schuman, this year’s co-recipient of the CFDA Eugenia Sheppard Media Award.
September 5 was also the opening of “The Sartorialist: Closer,” an exhibit of Scott’s work from his new book, on display at the Danziger Gallery in Chelsea. Coach sponsored the VIP opening on the 5th, as well as the book signing on September 7th night. The book signing takes place at the gallery on the 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
