Patio ALFRESCO @ Dining By The Sea At Crowne Plaza Panwa Beach Phuket

While most hotel guests prefer to dine out in the evening especially when they have spent their entire day lazing around the beach or the pool side, either for a change of scenery or to explore the local experience, the Patio ALFRESCO in Crowne Plaza Panwa Beach Phuket could offer you an alternative and exclusive dining experience that makes you want to stay in. mylifestylenews writes.

Dine alfresco or by the beachside at Patio ALFRESCO in the evening while your feet land on the soft white sand would be ideal for a quiet and intimate encounter, especially when it was after the predictable afternoon showers, the temperature brings down the humidity with a light gentle breeze coming from the Andaman sea that surely would awaken your senses under the moonlight with stars dimly blinking in the dark skyline.

Patio ALFRESCO also has comptoir counters outside and deep set sofas to while away the hours over the cocktail hour or dinner. You may also choose to be seated at the private exclusive dining room with a fully glassed floor to ceiling windows looking out and watch the world go by.

Service at Patio ALFRESCO is definitely spot on, not only our wait staff Ms. Pla (literary means fish in Thai language) looking after our table well but her initiative and pro-activeness in making sure that every single detail and sequence are adhered for a restaurant standard or at least to her hospitality standard. There is no better way to enjoy a delightful evening with someone that shows their passion by rendering good service.

The menu is pretty straight forward with no stranger to the mainstream Italian restaurant offer but over here in Patio ALFRESCO with the additional touch of heart will have you appreciating what effort was put behind the entire menu.

You may choose to sit inside at the private and exclusive dining room for more intimacy

Octopus Salad
Poached Mediterranean style, with potato, lemon dressing and pan fried water melon. We always hesitate to order this dish as usually you won’t get the right kind of octopus from the Mediterranean sea, it either comes too fishy due to the long distance travelling to Asia or it is overcooked and becomes too chewy. What Patio ALFRESCO did was thinly sliced to the right bite, lightly seasoned and marinated with extra virgin oil with a wedge of lemon on the side. Simply Classico & Delicioso!

Baked Andaman Seafood Secret Recipe Soup
When the soup is brought to the table, you can't help but wonder why a big fresh piece of dough semi-sealed the plate that contains tiger prawn, sea bass, sweet clams, cheery tomato and basil. What a combination with the fresh catch from the sea allowing this dish to give you the freshest taste at once. And with its secret recipe that elevates this soup to something you can’t resist. You simply can’t judge the book by its cover. Bravo!

Black Truffle Mushroom Ravioli
Cream cheese, wild mushroom, tartufo cream sauce and crispy carrot made this black truffle mushroom Ravioli so divine. Four medium sizes of ravioli are just the right amount to let the taste of this rich creamy pasta dish linger in your mouth. The firmer side of al dente, the creamy option, served with aromatic truffle with a subtle smokiness is so moreish. Another triumphant dish that is not to be missed.

Fettuccine Ai Frutti Di Mare
Instead of the seafood combination, we asked the chef to twist a little from the ingredients used. Large fresh clams are used and simply tossed with garlic and parsley to add the color and a hint of flavor from the fresh green taste satisfied our craving immediately. They know how to do a good pasta and handle seafood well in Patio ALFRESCO.

Roasted Pork Belly
Crispy pork belly served with grilled baby carrot, cauliflower puree and balsamic reduction is the perfect combination on this Italian slash Mediterranean special. You need to make room for this. Simply irresistible!

Khalua Tiramisu
Mascarpone and espresso coffee rounded off the affair beautifully, with an almost foamy texture that meant it didn’t further strain our full bellies. It wasn’t too bitter, nor too sweet, just the right kind of dessert for an Italian meal.

Italian food emphasizes on its freshest ingredients used in the kitchen with basic seasoning not over powering its taste of origin but to let you sample the best of its kind and Patio is lead by its Italian F&B specialist Gabriel Noe by bringing out the best of its authenticity without failing to please. A comfort food beyond trattoria gastronomy, Patio ALFRESCO can surely say it out loud without prejudice.
