《Coach @ Hamptons Weekend Collection》

COACH Spring 2012 Hamptons Weekend Collection named for the exclusive beach towns favored by well-heeled New Yorkers, and first introduced in 2000, the Hamptons Collection returns with a special anniversary collection of weekend totes. Their simple silhouettes are transformed with a wide range of raw materials, including straw, terrycloth, metallic or colored leather, vachetta, washed suede and canvas. All totes in this collection come with the Coach 70th Anniversary commemorative hangtag.
The Hamptons Weekend Straw Hangtag Totecelebrates our heritage with a luxe fringe of 96 hangtags whip-stitched by hand to the trim. Each tag is handcrafted in leather with bombé and embossed details; each one is neatly handfinished with edge stains. Metallic leather and vachetta trim add luxury; stud details give it an edge. The HamptonsWeekend Stripe Straw Tote is finished with naturally tanned vachetta, slender metallic leather inlays, and a prominent turnlock. The stripes are a variation of our iconic Legacy stripes; they are hand-dyed and hand-woven.The Hamptons Straw totes are made with natural materials such as: hay, palm leaves and dried grass. They require extra care to craft into a form durable enough for everyday use. The extraordinary Hamptons Weekend Straw Appliqué Tote is a colorful, collectible piece in crochet straw with hand-worked leather trim, rope handles, intricate appliqués, stud details and hand-sewn whipstitch trim. Mixed-metal finishes on the hardware give it a modern look; lucky ladybugs, a dragonfly and a butterfly give it charm and dimension.

The sorbet-colored Hamptons Weekend Perforated Toteshave snap functions on their sides to convert them from work bags to spacious weekend totes. Embossed and perforated with the Coach horse and carriage for a large-scale but subtle logo effect, they have vachetta handles and minimal hardware, as well as contrast hangtags for a fun pop of color. They include the Hamptons Weekend Leather Perforated Tote, which repeats the color-block theme seen throughout the Coach spring collections, and the Hamptons Weekend Vachetta Perforated Tote. Because vachetta leather is left unfinished, this leather will darken in the sun and develop a pretty patina over time.
Coach shoes echo the look and feel of the handbag collections with leathers sourced from the same tanneries, color-blocking and a similar palette of pales and brights. As always, they have a distinct Coach look: strong in profile, with prominent hardware custom-made to coordinate with the handbag collections. An assortment of the leathers, including the vachetta and embossed exotics, are Italian and are finished with artisanal details like hand-stitched tacking and hand-sewn beads. Natural and pale shades lighten the strong but feminine silhouette of the Kensington Sandal, a striking platform design with a graceful edge. The material is delicately textured, python-embossed leather from Italy; the platform is wrapped with calf leather. The graphic buckle is made with cuoio, the thick leather used for quality soles, but stacked in multiple layers and burnished at the edges.

Coach always has a jelly sandal or two for the spring and summer seasons. The Hilda Jelly Sandal is this season’s most luxurious version, embellished with hand-sewn floral bead ornaments. Custom buckles with mini Coach charm hangtags add a luxe touch. The Allie Sandal rounds out the Spring 2012 Footwear Collection with a combination of the gladiator and platform themes. Finished with topstitch details and two custom Coach buckles plated with 14K gold, it goes from day to night with drama and style.
