Roger Vivier SS2014 collection takes a new look at the Vivier’s codes: the Virgule heel, the Prismick range and the buckle on the new U-Look collection. A play on the concept of duality, the accessories collection moves between constructivism and sensuality, taking its inspiration from nature and design. The U-Look accessories collection introduces a new buckle shape, made up of two U-shaped structures, joined together like magnets. It is based on the Roger Vivier living and ultra-symbolic heritage. The buckle is the supreme distinctive sign, the ultimate code, a logo before time.
Alongside this new buckle, two emblematic lines affirm their iconic status: the Virgule heel, which acts as the essential punctuation mark in all the collections, and the Prismick range of bags and shoes, with their 3D and geometric look. This season, these two ranges play on both vinyl transparency and a mirror effect. Because dreams are where all desires begin, Bruno Frisoni has also created for this fantasy Parisian woman a collection that is rich in ornaments and materials. Exceptional and luxurious craftsmanship is deployed to develop the flower theme. An exclusive print inspired by Klimt's landscapes is used on sophisticated pochettes and sandals for day wear. This collection presents all the faces of a sexy, very Parisian woman, where opposites attract: straight line or curve, dynamic or sensual, graphic or floral.
Virgule is still the collection's indispensable punctuation mark. With its accentuated yet gentle curve, which the eyes memorise, the Virgule heel has made its mark as the distinctive sign of the Roger Vivier fashion house. Sandals are making a big appearance with the Virgule heel with cross-over straps, geometric T-bar and sensual asymmetry. With 7cm and 10cm heels, the sandals play all the notes of the season, transparency, mirror and vinyl. In the photo the asymmetric model comes in a black patent leather version and in the collection Silver leather combines with summer's fun shades like Leaf Green, Splash Blue and Peony.
Like a construction game, the new bag in the U-Look collection embodies all the new Vivier codes. With its buckle made from two U-shaped structures joined together like magnets, this new emblem is a reinterpretation of the Roger Vivier heritage. The structured shape of the U-Bag, half-way between a design look and traditional chic, has been created to play with colours, materials and prints. The clever way it opens with click on the buckle and zip towards the back, as well as its adjustable strap, put it in the category of intelligent companions. U-Bag wears the season's colours, here in the three-color version Ink-Havana-Banana Yellow.
All the Vivier codes come together in the Miss Viv’ bag. Bruno Frisoni reinvents this great ultra-chic classic, adding the historic buckle. Structured and feminine with its timeless design, the bag is enlivened with the season's materials and colours: blood red patent leather, plain splash blue or Havana, mandarin, peony, indigo and vanilla for the three-colour version.
