I.T opened a new Isabel Marant store on Ice Hose Street, Central, the label’s third in Hong Kong and held an opening party to mark this important occasion with the label’s designer Ms. Isabel Marant presence to meet her fans. The trendsetting I.T Group never ceases to fascinate fashion lovers with great and new ideas.
The new Isabel Marant store covers an area of 570sq.ft.. The décor is a collaboration between Isabel Marant and the French construction firm ciguë. Local culture of Hong Kong is incorporated into French design. Glass curtains reveal a large teak shelf divided into a number of wooden cases displaying new products of the season. On the far left is a vintage figured glass panel, which draws sunlight and allows pedestrians a glimpse of the shop.
Cement walls and floor with minimal polish keep the rectangular stop area modest and natural. On the left, a large teak shelf against the wall showcases the label’s distinctive ornaments. Behind the shelf are the checkout and fitting rooms, almost like a hidden shop within the shop. A spacious storefront is neatly surrounded by display shelves. In the middle of the shop sit several wooden cabinets, which serve as seats for customers to rest on as well as showing goods, create an unrestrained environment consistent with the label’s French liberal style.
To celebrate the opening of the new store in Hong Kong, the team in France has specially designed two limited goods. An Asian edition blue tie-dye sneakers available only for France, Hong Kong and Beijing was launched on April 14, the opening day of the Ice House Street store.
Now in May, Isabel Marant offers her first luxury watch, inspired by her father’s hand holding hers as a kid. That big, warm hand was wearing a gold watch and the image was imprinted on Isabel’s mind. To her, it symbolizes eternity. Isabel longs to re-experience the precious moment by creating a piece of equally pure and precious jewelry. To make it happen, she collaborates with prominent jewelry maker The JEM Process in the creation of a 50-piece limited edition certified 18 karat gold watch. A code number ranging from 1 to 50 is carved on the back of each of these valuable watches, as a guarantee to its authenticity and traceability. Watches no.8 and no.18 were allotted to the Hong Kong market, exclusive in all Asia.
