《Bally @ AW2012 Men Collection》

Bally’s Creative Directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler have created a men’s collection for AW2012 imbued with the spirit of a life lived outdoors that is charged with exhilarating journeys and inspiring pursuits. Every journey begins with a single step and in the quest for grand adventure and excellence.
In a collection dominated by technical detail, durable finishes and exceptional craftsmanship, it was never more certain that Bally owns winter: for the distinct and water repellant waxed suede and calf leather of the shoe collection; to the waterproof zippers and fold-over magnetic closure of the bags designed to protect from the elements; through to the highly technical detail of the outerwear distinguished by cleverly constructed pieces notable for their innovative use of leather and technical fabrics. Designed to protect the urban traveler from the elements, the outerwear includes impressive pieces such as a rich leather storm coat backed with Shetland wool twill. A subtle gold and silver leaf print dominates the garments and a special weather beaten effect completes the look that matches the worldly smarts of Bally’s trailblazing adventurer.

The shoe collection is founded on Bally’s signature Scribe with its renowned craftsmanship and Goodyear-welting. Blake construction has been introduced to a range of high quality dress office shoes for smart seasonal style. Bally has increased its focus on relaxed men's moccasins and together with the curling boot that was completely re-engineered for winter 2011, every man is covered no matter his walk of life.

The theme of outdoor adventure continues with the men’s bags featuring highly robust luggage, messengers and crossbody bags all designed for extreme durability as our urban explorer moves through his daily life. Each piece of Bally’s AW2012 men’s collection has been designed with exacting purpose and precisely constructed in the Swiss brand’s fine craftsmanship traditions, reflecting demanding adventures through the weathered Swiss alps whose raw beauty is spectacularly outlined by winter snow.
An unique interactive space that showcased an extraordinary array of specially curated multimedia content as well as Bally’s innovative Scribe Configurator App. The vibrant installation was designed to create a memorable and playful interaction between Bally and its guests, providing a moment to communicate individually with the Swiss brand while surrounded by multiple users. Composed using a number of large modules to form a mega-touch screen that could be intuitively handled simultaneously by multiple hands, the cutting-edge technology revolutionises the delivery and type of information consumers receive and their overall engagement with the brand. Personal preferences and choice were key within this precisely crafted interactive space that offered each guest the chance to achieve a highly personalised synergy with Bally.
With the feel of a Bally store, the space was dominated by the large interactive screen through which guests enjoyed multimedia experiences such as: custom videos, engaging product stories, interaction with Bally’s social media channels and live Twitter feed, and the chance to try the cutting-edge Scribe Configurator App recently released through bally.com and iTunes. Using the well laid-out and user-friendly Scribe Configurator App, guests had the chance to replicate the experience of designing their perfect bespoke Scribe Made-To-Order shoe. Guided through a step-by-step selection process, users were easily able to simulate creating an entirely original shoe: from the range of styles, luxurious leathers, smart colours, sole and fit variations, the original design can be ordered or shared with friends via email or social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Bally’s interactive multimedia installation was supported by SKIN™ products, developed by uma Information Technology (www.uma.at).
