《Kokorico @ Jean Paul Gaultier New Fragrance》

KOKORICO, the latest Jean Paul Gaultier's fragrance is a virile scent without complexes. The masculine plural of the noun for Jean Paul Gaultier, because there isn’t just one Gaultier man. There are men, of different ages, masculine-feminine, half lout/half nice guy, naughty or refined, but always with a strong personalityAt the same time they are, boy toys, men in skirts or tuxedos, they are wearing neoprene or oversized leather coats, flamboyant frock coats or muslin tunics with fitted suits, sailor’s shirts…
An up to date sexy chic appearance, that turns the classics upside-down with glamour, humour, flamboyance, seduction and a dash of provocation. For all these men, Jean Paul Gaultier has created a new perfume. A “something feathery” is going to tumble across their skin, grand and sexy. Overturning elegance’s codes to make them ever more modern and hot.
With his new fragrance, Jean Paul Gaultier asks men to call out their virility, triumphant and heightened, loud and clear.All-powerful, energetic, free and wild, in unison they call out with a victory cry: A rooster’s primal cry – from the hen house and moor. A Gallic rooster’s cry of pride. A lover boy’s cry of conquest. A seducer’s victory cry. A sated man’s orgasmic cry. A proud man’s joyfulcall. A self assured man’s tribal call. A cry from men’s hearts. A name of a perfume. Jean Paul Gaultier wanted a cry. A request that was typically him, new and original. At least two noses were needed to meet the challenge and, Olivier Cresp and Annick Menardo (Firmenich) rose to it. It is a generous, sensual, yet electric perfume, full of panache and surprises that tips the classic codes of men’s perfume “ass over teakettle”.
And yet, as always, respectful of tradition, it is from haute perfumery that he borrows precious raw materials. These great classics are overturned and don't know which way to look: cedar explodes, patchoulisheds its dampness, vetiver plays on it's roots like a tribal echo. They exhale masculinity. But, he adds to them of course, and plays with dissonance to create a fragrance full of chic and aristocratic cheek, resolutely elegant and sexy. The cocoa bean, a gourmand, raw aphrodisiac is paradoxically treated bitterly thanks to a Firmenich innovation, “Nature Print” ®. It plays on appearances and counterbalances the sensuality and freshness of the fig leaf. An explosive and torrid chaos is brought into harmony by woody burst.
