Spa At Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara Enlightens Your Body And Soul

When you are ready to  embark your personal path to wellbeing, a spa booking to pamper yourself is essential. The Spa at Al Baleed Resort Salalh by Anantara is ever ready to pamper you with a total relaxation spa journey infused with Oman's coastal serenity alongside with the Oman's ancient beauty rituals. mylifestylenews writes.

Rooted in Thailand, the essence of Anantara philosophy, ‘without end”, stems from ancient Sanskrit origins that are determined to deliver a Thai inspired luxury spa experience with personalized wellness needs. Have yourself ready to discover the spa journey that has been handed down through the generations in Thailand.

Situated on a separate building directly opposite the hotel main lobby façade, the Spa at Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara is set in a huge complex that might occur to you it could be a resort conference or convention centre. A Omani fortress design motif sits atop the square-ish concrete brick building adorned with a gigantic shaded glass window that gives a vaguely semi see through effect and also draws natural light to the spa foyer.

Vividly bright when you are looking from inside out, the white wall interior and brightly shinning white marble floors may seem to impose a cold and clinical impression.Thankfully its yellow mustard cushion sofas added some life to the entire spa reception with an enormous metal Arabic lantern fixture centrally hung on the high ceiling.

Beach straw hats and beach bags are displayed on the wooden cupboard top seemingly catching more attention than any other spa products and instantly makes you think you are in the resort’s retail store instead of a spa.

The hallway leading to the back of the reception houses a beautifully decorated traditional hammam for various treatments and service. Across from the hamman are the changing rooms and relaxation areas with experience showers, the male and female change rooms have separate entrances due to local customs giving a more spa like feature.

Traditional Hammam with Moorish design motif.

Black tiles contrast he white walls in the centre of the changing room with a well fitted mirror against the end of the room. Soaring high ceilings provide a more airy ventilation as well as some direct sunlight from the glassed roof.

A small Japanese dry garden decorated with black stones also adds a distinctive zen style to the entire room.

The spa offers quite a selection of treatments and even with some holistic packages to detox your mind, body and soul and eventually to re-discover yourself at the end of the programme. We were offered a 45-minute signature Frankincense Ritual massage enhanced with frankincense oil from Salalah, known as the perfume capital of Arabia used on the therapist’s silky hands to rub it in with medium to strong massage techniques in a complete rebalancing sequence for the body, leaving you feeling unwound, at peace and in complete relaxation.

The 45-minute treatment may seem too short but if it is done well, the rejuvenation and the revival of our body has a distinctive effect at the end of the treatment massage by soothing the aching muscles and cleansing the body and mind, lavishing the skin and awakening the senses. Despite a few protocols and sequences not done accordingly before and during the spa treatment such as room temperature control, Spa music opted out, no aroma or scented palm was offered while taking in the 3 deep breaths to calm the body at the beginning of the treatment, no fresh flower bowl arrangement looking through the spa bed through the head rest support and no awakening call from the meditation bell Tingsha cymbals or other alternative being offered and so forth, other than that, my therapist did well with the pressure that was applied to my body and works just as well.

At least, our treatment allowed us to indulge in the essence of Anantara spa and we were gently whisked away on a short journey of lasting impression and end our wellness journey enlightened with our body restored.

Maison Valentino presents Valentino Tiger 1967 to celebrate the Chinese New Year 2022 featuring a collection tribute to the Chinese culture, a symbol of good luck and a demonstration of friendship from the Maison to the country.

The Tiger is one of the Maison’s iconic pillars, having a remarkable personality and first appearing as the number one look of the Haute Couture AW1967-68 Collection. For this special occasion the motif is applied on contemporary items such as shorts, hoodies, and Valentino Garavani accessories like bucket hats, as well as Valentino Garavani Roman Stud bags in neon and natural palettes.

A special focus is dedicated to the new Valentino Garavani Locò bag, an expression of the metropolitan and festive atmosphere that animates the Maison. This compact double handle bag, with a nineties allure, features a flap with a VLogo Signature clip closure. The Valentino Garavani Locò bag embodies the process of resignification and the evolution of the iconic codes of the Maison. Spa Alila Jabal Akhdar Oman - Soul Awakening Spa Experience

Eminently private, Spa Alila at Jabal Akhdar is truly an escape within an escape. Be ready to surrender yourself to a most anticipating blissful spa experience and step into a sanctuary of wellbeing with bespoke treatments to personalize your needs and bring you back into balance. As the name of Alila suggest in Sanskrit, a “surprisingly different” spa experience awaits. mylifestylenews writes.

If you are seeking a spa retreat away from home and at a remote and exotic locale that is over 2,000 metres above sea level, a good two hours drive on a 4 wheel drive automobile will transport you to the soul awakening Oman’s Al Hajar mountains with various crafted pampering spa treatments to indulge in Spa Alila at Jabal Akhdar.

Spa interior designs always intrigue us especially when it is thoughtfully designed to suit the mood and ambience of a peaceful and rejuvenating sanctuary. The first impression of the spa pretty much determines how luxurious a spa can be with the design elements and touches that reflect the brand’s image.

A warm and indulging atmosphere in every corner of the spa is easily found, blending the mood into natures color tone with gigantic wooden doors wide opening and welcoming guests to the spa foyer. Striking carpets with Omani traditional prints are well spread out and adorned with the dark wooden beam ceiling.

The waiting lounge is well separated into two spacious sections by the geometrical black steel racks where the spa home brand – Alila Living - spa products are on display, uplifted with a vast selection of pots contrasting the white walls and slick furniture.

From the dramatic wooden tree branch inside the spa hallway, mirrors, Omani lantern lighting fixtures, to the unpolished stone floors and walls leading you to multiple treatment rooms off a central courtyard deep within the spa complex that are beautifully flanked by red velvet curtains, these are all tastefully injected by giving each room the right measure of sophisticated charm, calm and peace yet glamorous and opulent without going overboard.

Featuring seven treatment and changing rooms, a guided tour is needed to explore this well designed laid-out spa. Along with a Vichy shower room and Jacuzzi, this peaceful sanctuary is dedicated to pamper you from head to toe.

Not to mention that there is also an exclusive “secret garden” for both male and female sections, a little court-yard with sun lounge for you to reflect by yourself before or after the spa treatment for a much desired calming effect.

“Secret Garden” - pre and post spa outdoor relaxation area

With subtle levels of lighting (both natural and created) to soothe the senses after the bright mountain glare from outside, we chose two different therapies to experience the full gamut of techniques and let our pampering begin with the Jabal Akhdar Revitalizing Massage that takes us on a 60 minutes journey by experiencing the soothing symphony of Balinese, Lomi-Lomi and Swedish massage techniques applied with varying degrees of intensity, together with long flowing strokes and Thai stretching. This treatment uses traditional Omani frankincense oil treasured through the ages for its many beneficial qualities, to relieve, repair and revive tense, tired and wearisome muscles.

Another treatment is the 60 minutes Therapeutic Massage that lets you experience a complete body awakening with a combination of therapeutic massage techniques using fluent strokes of different depths and intensity. While the long Balinese Massage has an aim to dissolve tension through ancient Balinese healing therapy, the strokes improving lymphatic drainage and circulation, the Swedish deep tissue technique works into muscles to relieve tension and stiffness.
Acupressure points are used for specific stimulations while Thai movements add elements of stretching to increase mobility. Our therapist was true to form with our specific request about pressure and expertly kneaded out all the kinks and aches from our strenuous activity. Naturally, your blood flow is given quite a boost after this.

Part of the spa journey encompasses products that have been developed by Alila to elevate their spa experience beyond the norm; hence their desire to deliver “bespoke locally inspired treatments”. Each product has naturally active ingredients that will nurture your body and deliver a sensory experience that is complimented by the expert spa therapists’ touch.

The couple’s room that we were in did not disappoint, with the care and attention to detail. It is all about sense, feel and touch, and we were in expert hands and after some moments, you were not aware of anyone else in the room as you were transported to another world and feeling…silence is golden.

Spa Alila’s unique approach recognizes the individual in you, offering you the flexibility to design treatments according to your personal needs and preferences. With the sensible touch of details, the spa has created the desired ambience that serve both function and aesthetic where attention to detail makes a project whole, as can be witnessed in the entire spa complex.

Alila resorts truly know how to deliver the perfect spa experience, with each location’s architecture and interior design creating individual references that are unique and with its very own one-of-a-kind character that charms you always……with a wow factor, you know that you have come to the right spa for a genuinely soul awakening spa treatment and experience.
