Purity, lightness and mastery of technique define five distinctive hand crafted pieces which form John Lobb Artisans’ Series.
Designed by Artistic Director Paula Gerbase in unison with the John Lobb Bespoke Atelier, the annual series celebrates the absolute craftsmanship present at the core of the house whilst highlighting the inherent innovation at every stage of the design and making process, from the development of a unique leather tension technique that allows for completely seamless models, through the selection of special leathers from the best tanneries.
Featuring five bespoke styles – an Oxford shoe, single buckled shoe, a loafer, a slip-on and lace up boot - all with a masterful seamless construction. Each model taking an average of 80 hours to complete and a culmination of collaborative work between Gerbase and the Artisans of the Bespoke Atelier.
‘The ultimate goal - to have shoes that fit like gloves, with no restrictions on the foot and a true celebration of the skill present in the Atelier and passed down through generations’ says Gerbase.
