《COACH @ SS2012》

COACH SS2012 collection built on their heritage of craftsmanship, innovation and modern design. Even as Coach has evolved from a family-run workshop of six artisans to an iconic American brand available around the world, they still make their luxury leatherware and accessories the same way they did in 1941: by hand, one at a time. Every style is still designed in New York, and all of the hardware is still custom made—including the original Coach turnlock, inspired by the toggle fasteners on Bonnie Cashin’s convertible car top.
The Spring 2012 handbags, accessories and shoes for women are infused with spring colors and interpreted with 70 years of leather artistry. Featuring natural vachetta, color-blocked Italian waxed calfskin and other beautifully textured leathers, as well as exceptional limited editions and commemorative anniversary styles, they incorporate classic designs and iconic hardware from the Coach archives while taking a fresh and functional approach to luxury.

The Men's collection inspired by iconic styles in the company archives that revived decades-old logos, made use of traditional artisanal techniques like hand-burnishing, and reincorporated the internal “hanging pockets” found in their unlined men’s business bags throughout the 1960s and 1970s. All men’s leatherware is designed to express the true nature of the particular leather employed in its construction. Although the key Coach Men’s collections for spring, Bleecker Legacy and Crosby, represent a new approach to modern men’s design, they also embody our steadfast commitment to traditional leatherworking techniques, passed down from generation to generation.
