FIRESTORM 風暴

After the success of last year smash hit action thriller <Cold War> which almost taken the whole city down in jeopardy and this time from the same producers plus actor cum one of the producers Andy Lau vouch to return with bigger and bolder <Firestorm> action with much intense run and chase in the bustling central of of Hong Kong. To be honest, the credit has to be given to the effort of creating such action direction with heavy machine guns and explosion took place in the 24 hours occupied Central, even blue screen was added for post production enhancement. At least the Hong Kong CG effect has improved, thanks to the big budget investment. The story was rather predictable and the twist was created in disguise and that led to a poor ending. The devils will never win no matter how hard they try, a positive vibe or message needed to get delivered to the audience for such comfort end, perhaps. "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain and suffer from moral disturbance", that's the movie dark side. Is that necessary for such thriller action pack? Guess they better take the precaution then none. At least the films's long released trailer in the summer was inviting. Don't you think?
