208 Duecento Otto Introduces New Menu Featuring Hearty & Rustic Dishes

208 Duecento Otto introduces their new menu featuring some hearty and rustic dishes created by chef Alan Marchetti. Rustic Italian cuisine is brought to the tables of 208 Duecento Otto and prepared from scratch using the freshest ingredients, with sensitivity towards sustainability and not using anything pre-made. Good food is about enhancing the natural flavours of the ingredients, not overpowering them, and this is the focus at 208, where the menu is made up of dishes that patrons love to eat frequently rustic, authentic, tasty dishes.
New Antipasti include Insalata di Polpo Grigliata with grilled octopus, celery heart, datterini tomato and gaeta olives, Capesante Tartufo e Piselli of Hokkaido seared scallops, peas, broad beans and black summer truffle and Tartar di Tonno Pinna Gialla of yellow fin tuna tartare, shallots, capers and gherkins.
For Primi, the talented chef has rustled up the wholesome dish of Penne Bufala D.O.P with grilled peppers, zucchini and fresh Italian basil. The Risotto alla Pescatora with Boston mussels, manila clams, langoustine and squid as well as the Spaghetti alla Citarra con Ragu di Coniglio with rabbit, sage and gaeta olive ragu are also new additions to the menu. All pizzas at 208 Duecento Otto are made with fresh buffalo mozzarella cheese imported from Italy and are prepared to the specifications of The Association Verace Pizza Napoletana and baked in a custom-designed pizza oven shipped in from Naples. The Pizza Tartufo with mozzarella, black summer truffle, smoked scamorza and roasted zucchini is a perfect addition to the already sinfully indulgent pizza selection.
For Secondi, a few special crafted dishes including the 208 Grigliata Mista di Pesce with charred tiger prawns, sea bream, Hokkaido scallops, yellow fin tuna, squid, sea fennel and lemon caviar and the Fiorentina Originale di Manzo Chianino Italiano.
Located on Hong Kong's art and antiquing Hollywood Road in the up-and-coming Sheung Wan district, 208 Duecento Otto is an Italian restaurant with a distinct New York vibe. It combines an energetic Bar with a New York vibe downstairs and a more intimate upstairs Restaurant, both with outdoor seating overlooking Hollywood Road. Formerly a meat storage warehouse, 208 Duecento Otto is named after its street number at 208 Hollywood Road.
We love the new Mousse di Fragole e Yoghurt of strawberry and yoghurt mousse as well as the Sgonfiotto al Cioccolato of chocolate fondant, pistachio ice cream and raspberries, for the perfect ending to any meal.
