JIMMY CHOO @ SS2014 Collection

Jimmy Choo SS2014 collections explores the vibrant sensuality of the natural world revealing a new, elemental organic aesthetic. Shells, camouflage, aposematic colouration – the defences of nature, wild beauty unleashed reinterpreted for the urban landscape as shoes take on the armour-like sensibilities, exerting power over their environment.
Striking yet unexpected, beauty signalling danger, colour takes origin from the interplay of insect shells set against the elements. Frisson flashes of honey gold, neon flame, palisander, lime and iridescent blue bottle are accented across the collection, including ATTILA a neon snakeskin flat – new for the season, TAMBER an ankle strap sandal with butterfly-like wings cocooning the foot, VISTA a multi-colour and black gloss elaphé patent heel, while the strappy fluoro coral DAMSEN sandal does all-out unabashed block colour.

The Jimmy Choo woman is confident in her skin and the collection exalts the power and lure of femininity. As a butterfly emerges from the cocoon, she is armed with a renewed vivacity this season, as contrast becomes key, countering the vibrancy of colour and pattern against the natural exoticism and texture of skin. Camouflage blends in but also steps into the light in jewelled leaf cut-out heels and bright block colour patent bags, while an ode to floral plays out in a palette of notice-me shades, with stand-out design details including neon embroidered flowers against mesh and tropical prints splashed over acrylic clutches.

After dark, the vivid colours quieten as a deeper intensity pervades. Lacquered jet harness strappy sandals reveal an alluring bondage-style exoskeleton; black stilettos are dressed up with patent piping, while shimmering deepest purple metallic heels introduce new decadence to the night. Evening bags come hard-cased in glossed finishes with gold clasps, or deconstructed in larger shapes with a slouchy silhouette strapped in by gold chains.

“The discourse between the beautiful, sensuous side of nature, set against the defensive forces of the elements was critical to my thinking for this collection. Looking at the artist Mat Collishaw's Sordid Earth exploration into the all-encompassing power of the tropical environment has inspired a vibrant new landscape for the Jimmy Choo woman to explore.” - Sandra Choi, Creative Director.

Lancôme BLANC MIRACLE @ A Dual Celebration Wonder Whitening Foundations

Ever since Lancôme launched its legendary Teint Miracle foundation, whose never-before Aura-InsideTM technology recreated the natural beauty of skin’s inner light, women have expected wonders of Miracle foundations. In 2011, Blanc Miracle fluid and compact brightening foundations, with their promise of Aura-Bright radiance and all-day wear, were surpassing Asian women’s highest expectations. In 2014, Lancôme celebrates the success of Blanc Miracle with two new chapters: an upgraded Blanc Miracle fluid foundation with an even more powerful multi-protection, and, in a major association with Swarovski, an exclusive limited-edition jewel case for Blanc Miracle compact foundation.

Blanc Miracle provides spectacular brightening effect, skin-friendly formulations, unbelievably lightweight textures, and advanced protection. While Blanc Miracle compact foundation already offers an extremely high SPF 35 PA+++, Lancôme aimed to further upgrade the protection provided by Blanc Miracle fluid foundation in order to safeguard the fair and fragile beauty of Asian women’s complexions even more effectively.

It is an established fact that, with fluid formulas in particular, high protection all too often comes at the price of a heavy texture. But because Asian women were addicted to the lusciously lightweight sensation of Blanc Miracle fluid foundation, Lancôme’s formulation experts rose to the challenge, virtually doubling the foundation’s protection factor, while retaining its amazingly weightless texture. The result is new BLANC MIRACLE BRIGHT-LIGHT CREATOR, the ultimate multi-protection whitening fluid foundation, now with SPF50+ PA++, one of the highest protection factor among leading foundations in Asia offering multi-functional makeup and skincare benefits :

 A powerful SPF50+ protection
A spectacular brightening effect
An incredibly gentle action
A “fit and fine” texture
