ZIAD NAKAD AW2019/20 Haute Couture Runway Collection - mylifestylenews Top's Pick

ZIAD NAKAD AW2019/20 Haute Couture Runway Collection is inspired by the ancient mosaic.

The collection is an ode to architecture and geometry.

Marked waists, oversize and asymmetrical sleeves are true technical features while giving an impression of lightness in resolutely feminine outfits.

Silhouettes with embroidery embellishments like "tessellas" and "tesserulas" reveal an aerial mosaic.
It is this alliteration assemblage that inspired the designer for the collection’s title.
A colorful collection, from blue to red, from gold to silver with black tips.

High quality materials are used.

Ziad Nakad mingles tulles and chiffons, lace and velvet, giving his creations an architectural and modern dimension, always reminding us his mastery in cuts and volumes.

Dior AW2019/20 Men's Advertising Campaign

Dior unveils the campaign for the AW2019/20 men’s collection by Kim Jones. In tribute to Christian Dior’s first vocation - he was a gallerist and art collector before founding his couture house – this series of images by Steven Meisel showcases the collection’s silhouettes in a decor inspired by the atelier of an iconic figure of California’s 1970s punk scene, Raymond Pettibon.

His works provide a captivating backdrop, highlighting Kim Jones’s designs, which include pieces done in collaboration with the American artist. “We selected some of our favorite pieces of Raymond’s work which had never been seen or shown before because they were things I loved,” says the Artistic Director about works, such as a mysterious face on a sweater, which appear here for the first time.

The artist also revisited the Dior logo, inscribing it on walls like calligraphy on a white page, which designer Yoon Ahn reprised as jewelry with a punk spirit. Exclusively for Dior, he also designed a leopard print, a nod to Kim Jones’s love of nature and animals, as well as to one of the founding couturier’s favorite codes – the panther print featured in Dior’s very first collection, in 1947. This reinvented signature appears on coats in innovative fabric mixes, while a tiger motif embellishes an elegant drape, a reflection of the House’s haute couture heritage. Punctuated with vests and harnesses, the new tailoring created by Kim Jones is embellished with utilitarian-inspired details, such as accessories adorned with buckles designed by Matthew Williams. Reinterpreted in a cross-body nylon version, the iconic Saddle bag also lends its curves to the pocket of a quilted backpack embroidered with the cannage motif Christian Dior favored, which recalled the chairs he used to seat guests for his shows at 30 Avenue Montaigne.

MADLEINE AW2019 Haute Couture Runway Collection - mylifestylenews Top 10's Pick

MADLEINE AW2019 Haute Couture Runway Collection are feminine, yet sleek, affectionate and always a powerful statement for rising beauty of female creation.

The miracle of Love and Faith has led to only a path leading to a soul and spiritual development. Madleine spirit-inspired, ethereal-looking collection leads us through the mysterious female figure of history, through the earthly statues of Mary Magdalene, to the ultimate fulfillment of existence, the unio mystica, the mystical unity.

According to the Evangelical teachings, Mary-Magdalene was an equal companion of Jesus, the supreme supporter, and even the number one Apostle.

With her first collection, Madleine honors Mary Magdalene's accomplished Divine mission, to the Messenger, Apostolic role, to admit her unconditional Love.

This is what shines through the finale look of the collection, a gown covered with Diamonds. Talented designer Aldé Baran created a stunning collection of extraordinary shoes for True Love.

Using the most precious fabrics, silks, brocade, cloche, organza, taffetas, shantung. Madeleine’s passion for fashion started when she was only 9 years old, making her very first dress.

In high school and college she made the dresses for her classmates with the occasion of the graduation balls. At the age of 20, she opened a small atelier and at 21, she held her first fashion show in Budapest, her home town.

In 2011, Madleine founded her own fashion brand without being intimidated of the pressure to make her mark and her designs recognizable. She felt motivated by the ‘challenge’ to bring something new to the highly competitive global fashion market.

First customers were impressed not only with her creative talent but also her attention to detail and ultimate quality. Researching the power of TRUE LOVE, Madleine during her spiritual journey, find the holy cave of Mary Magdalene in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, France.

This was a life changing event for her. This is what sparked her inspiration to create her first Haute Couture Collection.

VERSACE AW2019 Advertising Campaign

Versace AW2019 Advertising Campaign photographed by Steven Meisel manifests the juxtaposition between the luxury-grunge aesthetic seen on the AW2019 runway.

The House’s iconography is celebrated in a rich, urban setting. Brick and cement backgrounds create a unique atmosphere contrasted by antique, luxury velvet furniture. The collection’s vivid faux furs, lush jewels and bright hues are complemented with brightly colored hair and bold styling that enrich the rock-and-royalty ambiance.

The Campaign features single portraits of the talents as a reference to the model as a Versace muse. The Fall-Winter 2019 campaign is a celebration of Steven Meisel’s interpretation on how it feels to be a Versace muse in a time in which voyeurism has reached its peak.

Steven Khalil AW2019/20 Haute Couture Runway Collection - mylifestylenews Top 10's Pick

Steven Khalil AW2019/20 Haute Couture Runway Collection features colourways of dove and pale pink, cornflower blues to deep jades and dramatic blacks rounding out the palette. This story explores the anatomy and fragility of flowers- their natural peculiarity and softness, while combining and expressing these notions with a mixture of strength and romanticism.

It was Steven’s intention to emulate and convey different flowers in varying stages of bloom- from tightly wrapped buds that hug and wrap the body to blossoms unfurling for a spring morning and fully fledged flowers triumphantly open and joyous. The woman envisioned to be drawn to and wear pieces from this collection is like so many of the women Steven loves to dress - strong, passionate and confident - but who also likes to express their femininity and understand the power of and look for a dramatic silhouette.

Steven has designed a collection rich with surface detailing and using exclusive embroidery techniques leading to the creation of the final pieces. Each piece is uniquely detailed in its construction while still feeling whole and being a part of the same story. Most of these hand finished and detailed gowns can take from 100-200 hours to design, construct and finish. This is part of the DNA of the brand. Every collection is different but still special.

Experimenting with layering and creating tufts of raffia that sit against a silver metallic base to amplify the sheen. Combining hand-cut powder pink silk georgette with a fine metallic thread for intricate vine like centres. Some also comprise small bursts of stamen flowers to enhance the original source of inspiration.

Densely embroidered pieces feature that are designed to have a foliage like formation that gradate into smaller individual clusters. Even more texture was explored through the selection of beading in metallic silver, jet black and gunmetal to increase lustre and shine. Deeper and more sumptuous silk velvet is used to enhance the combination of the matte/shine embroidery.

Steven grew up in the outer suburbs of Western Sydney and from a very young age was destined to be a designer. Ever since he was a little boy he was fascinated with fabrics and textures and prints-His mother bought him his first sewing machine at age 7. A seminal moment came for Steven when he was watching the wedding of Princess Diana and from that moment new he wanted to design beautiful gowns.

After completing fashion studies at 19, he began to gain recognition for the quality of his workmanship and eye for unique design. He rose rapidly through several bridal houses and was appointed Head Designer at just 22 years old. In 2003, he established his own fashion house in Paddington, Sydney.

Having a focus on bridal has always been at the core of the label but in recent years Steven has increased his scope from dressing celebrities on the red carpet to showing couture fashion focused collections on the runway. Combining classical elements of bygone eras with a contemporary edge. Designing, creating and producing the collections in-house and working with trusted fabric and embroidery companies to create the signature looks. The brand has shown three collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in Sydney, Australia and two collections with Fashion Palette in New York.

The brand DNA although evolving with each collection has always stayed true- an approach that is tailored to each individual. This is characterised by closely working with each client to create a personalised couture experience and ultimately, their gown. This ethos now in turn filters down to the fashion collections - Steven wants to make a
woman feel strong, beautiful and feminine.
