M.A.C's SS2012 Trend presentation consolidates their authority increasingly inspirational angels on trend by James Molly, M.A.C Regional Director of Make-up Artistry presenting the biggest directions, key colours and need-to-know techniques of the season. "We really break down trends in details looking at the exact nuances and techniques and details that editors need to know to reinvent their makeup stories every season," explains Molly.

After last season's toughness and androgyny, SS2012 heralds the revival of an altogether more feminine and sensual approach to makeup. Molly presents the four keys trends of this season. They are: NEO-N with dynamic, urban, neoprene shades get a contemporary rethink, as pure-pigment eyes and lips go effortlessly edgy thanks to a new ease and lack of aggression to their application NEO-N.

  

   

The ORE-INSPIRED are beautifully buffed, burnished metallic accenting lips, cheeks and eyes make for the most modern way to reference the idea of a summer tan ORE-INSPIRED.

The ATH-ELITE highlight the skin that radiates a sportive, ultra-luminous freshness and health tunes into the season's chic, athletic vibe ATH-ELITE. and the NOUV-EAU are with languorous colour washes pick up on the soft side of the season, as tints that run from delicate peach through to blurred espresso form the most relevant way to wear subtle colour and definition NOUV-EAU.

   

  

 

《PIQUADRO @ SS2012 Bag Collection》

Piquadro SS2012 bag collection celebrates Italy and its great artistic tradition with a tribute to opera. In fact, the two new masculine lines, Nabucco and Bohème, and the three feminine ones, Aida, Tosca and Rigoletto, are named after famous operas by the Italian composers Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini. Bohème, on the other hand, is a twin-colour line in canvas and leather where the material and chromatic combination clearly expresses the informality of those who choose an easy accessory for free time while wishing to stand out from the crowd with a precise style, a perfect mix of functionality and sophistication. The natural materials, ample volumes and destructured forms lend this line a softness and natural appearance clearly underlined by the visible saddle-stitching and the inside-out construction. Though conceived for free time, Bohème, too, has a carefully considered internal organization where a double padded notebook and tablet pocket is combined with a series of multi-function pockets of various sizes. The colour palette foresees combinations of cold tones, such as grey, blue or black, and of warm ones such as khaki, orange, brown and yellow.

Nabucco is a business line in leather combining simple, rigorous design with the unmistakeable Piquadro touch and a casual elegance destined to please the most refined anti-conformists. A special laser process creates a motif with slender horizontal lines on the front part, inspired by the simple, clean lines of 1950s furnishing. The well-structured forms acquire softness through the special inside-out processing and the material used, a fine quality Italian hide to which hand buffing lends a warm and natural appearance. The rectangular volumes are further softened by the bottomless lines of the flap and the pockets. Stylistic research is especially evident, as always, in the design of the details in metal such as closures, rings and hooks. The internal spaces are organized to include a double padded notebook and tablet pocket and a series of multi-function pockets of various sizes.The colour palette ranges from the most classical business tones such as black, brown and natural leather to the seasonal colours of blue and grey. And naturally the Piquadro orange.

Aida is an elegant feminine business collection characterized by the combination of two leathers, one with a full grain and one smooth. The square forms acquire softness through the special twisted and sunken process on the sides. The large structures are softened by the rounded lines of the flaps on the front pockets. Stylistic research and the unmistakable Piquadro style are expressed in the details such as the metal accessories, stitching with colour-contrasting thick thread and the ever-present address label.  Besides the large front pockets, Aida also has essential yet practical internal organisation with a notebook and iPad holder.

Jaeger-LeCoultre @ Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph

The Memovox Deep Sea needs no introduction. More than any other, this avant-garde achievement 2012 sees the introduction of a new water-resistant watch inspired by the Memovox Deep Sea: the Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph. Its lines express great historical loyalty and testify to its proud sporting heritage. Featuring a 40.5 mm case size similar to that of the Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea, this model is endowed with a range of characteristics that are bound to thrill connoisseurs. A fixed bezel surrounds a classic black dial face, protected by a Plexiglas watch glass. The hour-markers as well as the central hour and minute hands are covered by a Superluminova® coating with a warm orange-tinted shade subtly reminiscent of the luminescent coating on the 1959 Memovox Deep Sea. The time intervals measured by the two-button chronograph are indicated by two counters for the hours and minutes, positioned at 9 and 3 o’clock, as well as by the central seconds hand. The back of the stainless steel case also bears the same engraved motif as the historical model, depicting a frogman surrounded by bubbles.

  Finally, the embossed black calfskin leather strap looks exactly like the one fitted on the original. While the case of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph is inspired by the design codes of an iconic creation, this watch driven by Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 751G incorporates the latest developments stemming from Jaeger-LeCoultre’s ongoing research, such as the large variable-inertia balance, or the ceramic ball bearings ensuring lubricant-free long-term operation. 《HUGO IN 3D》

<HUGO in 3D> perhaps is one of the best 3D movies that worth spending the money for, not even <Avatar> which was a little overrated. This film is tailored made so well to fit in all the 3D requested elements although there are still flaws of CG interrupted. But boy, the art direction and visual effect keep on bring the pleasant surprises and you just can't have enough time for your eyes to repose for a minute or two. For 11 Oscar nominations and most of the designated awards had gone their hands including the Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography and others, the film says it all. This film may not be the best of Martin Scorsese but we all know that this film was made and dedicated for his children, with his passion and kindred spirit for making this happen, the triumphant had already succeeded what he had done and contributed in this film. You may need to have the kidult's feelings and emotions to enjoy further with or without your kids, it is simply a great adventure movie of the year.

 

 

《The ARTIST》

This year 's Oscar has certainly gone French! The artist swept away most of the well deserved awards including the best picture of the year. This innovative nostalgia black and while silent movie is a daring move by bring so much fond memories for the previous generation, ask mom if you know really understand what that means. Film Director Michel Hazanavicius had certainly proved that his brave courage leading the French team including best actor Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo, his real wife who played the lead actress by shooting this movie in the Hollywood, this "collaboration" brought him a lot of his first time achievement. This tribute to black and white silent movie completed with action, laughs and tears. It is double hard work of preparation to create a better communication with the audience without actual dialogue for a more comprehensive contact, especially the beautiful "black & White" costume design on screen which won them the best costume awards in the Oscar. One can imagine how great are they in colors. We don't say much for Dujardin's acting that brought him his first Oscar and Best Actor in the Cannes Film festival acting with his full bloom body language, does he deserve those recognition? The answer is YES!
