Karl Lagerfeld created an exclusive new video <Peplum
People> for FENDI, filmed during the shooting of the
SS 2013 ad campaign. A cool attitude, a tribal soundtrack, the summer breeze stirring the
Mediterranean fronds and playful poolside activity channel a holiday joie de
vivre and Fendi’s Roman heritage, interpreted by models Kati Nescher,
Saskia De Braw, Joseph Dolce and
Willy Cartier.
The inspiration behind the reel is the lighthearted spirit of two polished young ladies on vacation and dressed in FENDI SS2013 highlights - flowy shirtdresses featuring hints of Cubism and Bauhaus, softly-tinted overcoats with shaved fur details and flashed of gold who are looking to have fun. Intrigued by a pair of handsome and irreverent young men they meet on the streets, they follow them around, ultimately receiving an invitation to dinner. Wishing to be one them in the video??
