《BALLY @ SS2012 Ad Campaign》

Bally SS2012 campaign transports us to a world of effortless luxury, set amidst the sparkling majesty of the Swiss lakes and the breathtaking alpine views that surround the elegant resort town of Gstaad. Shot in mid-October 2011, Bally chose the impressive Gstaad Palace Hotel in Switzerland’s Bernese heartland for the shoot as a direct reflection of the Swiss brand’s own heritage and ethos of refined elegance and attention to detail.
In the campaign shot by New York-based photographer Norman Jean Roy, whose work includes covers for Vanity Fair and GQ as well as Vogue editorials, Roy’s deceptively casual style, and strong narrative composition imbues the SS2012 collection with a seamless blend of style, tradition and understated luxury, all set against an inspirational Swiss backdrop. The Bally campaign features the fresh contemporary faces of Miranda Kerr and Julia Stegner partnered with the impeccable European look of models Cedric Bihr and Robert Konjic.
Imbued with natural optimism, the Bally campaign captures an informal and personal moment shared between close friends, enjoying the pleasure of a carefree summer day in the mountains. Bearing all the hallmarks of Bally’s design excellence and modern timelessness, SS2012 has been designed by Creative Directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler to carry this Swiss luxury leather goods house into a new realm of urban luxury, gently contrasted through Roy’s lens by the striking lines of Bally’s contemporary design and the impact of nature.
This poetic campaign draws us in to the world of Bally as the group delights in the beauty of their surroundings, savouring the moment by celebrating their lives and the promise of what’s yet to come. Through the enchanting pastels and rich jewelled tones of Bally’s magnificent leather shoes, bags and ready-to-wear, with their finely crafted embellishments and motifs, the images evoke a sense of perfectly framed modern romance and sophisticated luxe that Bally affirms.
