PENNYBLACK @ SS2014 Collection

Graphism is back in the PENNYBLACK SS2014 collection, this season is all about the optical pattern focusing on two colors only: black and white. It’s the game of contrasts, the focus with positive and negative, micro designs and maxi prints, fine lines and blocks over defined silhouette, minimal, just one step away from sportswear. The world of activewear is one of the strongest trends for the season and could not miss from the brand inspirations for the SS2014. Drawstring, zip, technical fabrics such as neoprene, processed net, three-dimensional or laser cut for details on t-shirts, dresses, jackets and accessories. The fabric treatments are really original: metallic, laminates, resin coated. It speaks the language of the gym, but without being too obvious.

Decontextualize is the word so the flowers become digitalized, the denim is formal and the animal print is city wear. Macro flowers are printed on T-shirts or as details on jogging pants. The denim is more than a fabric declined on linen and viscose, it is all about the bleached or indigo, to make the jeans even more relevant. The animalier loses its wilder side and becomes graphic, ironic and more contemporary, enough to be used on the iconic garment of PENNYBLACK, the parka. The knitwear focuses on bold colors and metallic hues that add a finishing touch of glam even to the most casual look. Accessories? So many. Maxi envelope clutch bag, printed shopping bags, Mary-Jane wedges and a very clean and chic version of the creepers.
