ISABEL MARANT SS2016 Collection


Isabel Marant SS2016 Runway took us to one of her favorite places in Paris, The Palais Royal Gardens. Mesmerized by the scenery, the art of style according to Isabel was a definition of attitude and graphic looks. Bold and striking prints as well as structured shapes were layered with shiny items.


 Paired with oversized accessories, Isabel Marant woman showed that more is more. The collection offered the perfect balance between fabric innovation, ethnic embroideries and sophisticated proportions.


This season called for a structured yet innovative silhouette. Isabel Marant woman is shot into the contemporary spheres with parachute inspired jumpsuits. Made of crossed, asymmetrical and intricate garment constructions, the collection created a modern vision. Highlighting the high craftsmanship of paper leather, fabric research took central stage. Her forward-thinking approach led us to a sportswear interpretation of light k-way coats and trousers.


Reflecting on her modern ethnic incarnation, Isabel twisted the silhouettes with true signature finishes such as raw edges and cropped volumes. Stunning handmade Indian embroideries were mixed with the usual trademarks such as the wrap-over skirts.


Silky printed trousers and subtly detailed belts complemented the handmade technique. Armed with rope sandals, silver trench and modern sarouel trousers, Isabel Marant woman walks to the beat of her own drum.


Mature and definitely seductive Isabel women by night is showcasing long embroidered coats and constructivist shapes. The fashion display saw stacked bracelet, oversized disc earrings and tie necklace embellish models features. Noticeable shoulders, emphasized waist and sophisticated allure: this season attitude is undeniably strong and assertive.
