ZARA Men & Women FW 2015 Collection

ZARA is no stranger to innovation and variety, using a range of materials and colours to add a zest into all their collections that are at once wearable, but also fashion forward.  ZARA FW2015 infuses a 1980s vibe into the new collection in an eclectic mix of fun and practical pieces for both men and women.

This season, Bohemian-themed prints features strongly, and a combination of quality materials spoil the everyday woman for choice. Genuine leather corsets and miniskirts stand out, with finishing touches such as tassels also given the leather treatment.

Silk and Devore in knitwear add a touch of elegance to the collection, whilst beautiful faux fur and skin are used in pieces such as the horsehair miniskirt for the environmentally-conscious shopper. A background of green, wine and black accompany the usual autumnal shades of orange, brown and Bordeaux, but ZARA keeps things fresh by introducing a striking turquoise.

A new production method has also been introduced this season, with clothes crafted on shuttle looms from imported Italian thread. Increasing both comfort and durability, this is spotlighted in pieces such as the miniskirts and wide-bottomed trousers.

Woman Studio is ZARA’s premier collection for women’s wear, with an exacting standard demanded of materials. Indeed, items such as the wide-legged trousers from this season are crafted using imported Korean silk.

The variety of choices and materials are also prevalent in the men’s collection, with a myriad of choice for formal wear, suits, street wear and casual wear.

Trending this season is a shawl hoodie and wide-legged trousers, while basic under shirts are made of 100% cashmere for comfort.

This season’s collection also features pieces that are both practical and unique in design; from waterproof raincoats, practical outwear as well as menswear suitable for everyday occasions, including a suit with a detachable waistcoat and jacket with detachable hood.

As well as being a leading brand in fashion, ZARA has always believed in leading by example through environmentally sustainable production methods. This ethos has been implemented especially in the last two years through practical action in an environmental awareness scheme; with ZARA’s products made of environmentally friendly fabrics and produced with recycled water. This special initiative is displayed through the garments’ tags.
