Robert Clergerie FW2015 Hong Kong Presentation

Robert Clergerie FW2015 women collection revisits a 70s’ attitude with strong new heels and platforms and raises to another level the masculine/feminine look with clever, whimsical details and a perfectly tailored communal collection (for men and women). The rich colors for the season are military moss, deep red cherry, cardinal purple all with touches of gold, copper and iron shine. Decorative rhinestones, shiny sparkle fabric, “Pony effect” leather and masculine fabrics such as houndstooth, Prince of Wales and Loden give texture and pop to the collection. Robert Clergerie started the masculine/feminine style decades ago building on its 120 year manufacturing heritage in France.

Roland Mouret revisits the true traditional good year stitch with playful details:Girl’s Best Friend: diamonds are applied one by one to the classic derby, traditional Penny and Fringe loafers. “Dorothy” Sparkle Fabric are juxtaposed with traditional wingtip detail in a classic and high top derby and whimsical ballerina highlighting the craftsmanship of the House and bringing even more feminine to the masculine .And of course the iconic Roel derby in surprising combinations with shine, “pony effect ” leather as an example – all in both muted as well as vibr ant colors such as beige , deep prune and for est green. Oversize retro “college” Tassel and Fringe also borrowed from the men’s codes, dress up another part of the collection with new edgier men’s last and strong day heels. Each Tassel and Fringe is perforated with a geometric design borrowed from the archives. The Fringes decorate either flat or heel moccasin in tone on tone or in multicolor variations. The “Street” boot and derby with a thick , but feather light creeper sole cap the masculine/feminine segment. A great heel or platform is the secret to an audacious but comfortable gait.

Robert Clergerie is also the master of the great strong heel and platforms and for FW2015 four heels new will delight the Clergerie Girl. This season the Robert Clergerie stretch “bar” is rich with new colors such as moss, deep red cherry, navy, and new styles such as the r e edition of the archive ice cube heel on a boot and bootie . A double face version with both stretch smooth lambskin front and suede lambskin back completes the rich stretch offer.

The Communal Collection launched last season takes on a new dimension this winter with styles directly taken from the Robert Clergerie Homme collection. The highlight of this communal collection is: Classic Chic pointed toe Oxford and Chelsea boot directly inspired by the vast Robert Clergerie Archives. The traditional French golf inspired derby (with or without tassel ) in innovative polished leather bringing out the true deep jewel colors and shine. Also in the Communal segment is the introduction of the Robert Clergerie sneaker in surprising materials in Prince of Wales and Loden fabric with leather and even in raffia, one of the brand’s signature fabrications. The shoe collection are accompanied by three simple and chic leather goods: ultra soft lambskin shopper turns into a clever and useful backpack while a roomy drawstring shoulder bags offers practical pockets for an easy day wear.

Robert Clergerie FW2015 Homme collection builds on the 120 year old Joseph Fenestrier legacy to present a collection for a man who is audacious and traditional at the same time. Deeply inspired by a vast heritage the collection highlights both modern classics and evolves to more casual looks with a strong character. The traditonal wingtips, signature folded leather and hand stitch finishing found on the more classic good year and blake stitch shoes are also found on styles with innovative rubber soles and sneakers. Seventeen of the 28 styles are also part of a distinct “communal” collection offering the exact same styles for men and for women perpetrating the daring mixity Robert Clergerie was the firs t to launch. The collection introduces an innovative unpolished leather whose patina can evolve to bring out shine and color making each shoe unique and adaptable to his wearer. The translucent color palette includes forest green, iris and different shades of brown.

Masculine wool tweeds in houndstooth, herringbone and Prince-de -Galles have been used to give a twist to classic styles and sneakers and bring some fun into the collection. “I wanted the Robert Clergerie Homme collection to accompany this contemporary man to the 21st century, at home in both the country and the city. Across our lasts, our colors and our materials, I wanted to bring a progressive masculinity to the M aison Robert Clergerie Homme” ROLAND MOURET, Creative director Robert Clergerie. “Our designers and our artisans captured so well the traditional elements of French style and craftsmanship and brought to it subtle modernity to perpetrate the J. Fensetrier legacy” Eva Tau b, President Robert Clergerie.
