EQ:IQ FW2015 Collection

EQ:IQ FW2015 Collection offers for the season include modern new looks for every woman, from stylish office attire, on-trend streetwear to luxurious winter coats and brings strong lines and bold hues to the season, with a diverse range of silhouettes, prints and colour stories across three distinct lines.

Surrealism pays homage to legendary designer Elsa Schiaparelli, with unconventional cuts, playful prints and a recurring eye and lip motif. The Kyoto line is inspired by draped, flowy forms, true to the Japanese aesthetic made with meticulous attention to detail and a recurring knot embellishment. The Grand Budapest line draws from the pastel, retro styles of the eponymous Wes Anderson movie, showcasing statement coats in lush, powdery colours to round off the season.

Bold, red lips, trompe l'oeil prints and deconstructed forms exemplify the Surrealism look from EQ:IQ this season. Shift dresses and suit dresses play with volume and length, creating altered silhouettes, while a long biker dress offers a hint of masculine edge. Pleats and asymmetrical hemlines add to the artistic quirkiness of this look, with rich textures such as leather, puckered plisse and jacquard lending it a playful luxuriousness.

Inspired by the colours of Fall in Kyoto, this line takes design cues from Japanese draping, adds fine detailed embellishments to simple forms and recalls patterns found within the natural Fall landscape.

Key colours include leaf brown, plum, burgundy and olive green contrasted against sand grey; magenta and black, with a recurring knot detail reminiscent of a kimono’s obi sash. Intricate flower and leaf prints are also balanced by a flowing ‘sand’ pattern on ribbed knits, echoing the patterns of a Zen garden. EQ:IQ’s Kyoto line also features chic python leather blouses and skirts, with a mid-calf leather and elastic pant in multi-functional black, while patterned and printed knit sweaters round off these effortlessly chic ensembles.

A-line skirts in sweet pastels and draped mohair jackets in powdery pinks - the Grand Budapest Hotel line features reinterpretations of the movie’s magnificent sets in fashion terms. Cashmere, merino wool, lace and soft bouclé create the textured story of this theme, while designs remain feminine. Long skirts, loose, chunky knits, cashmere dresses, lace shirts and brushed mohair coats complete this classic minimalist yet luxe line.

Footwear for the colder months also includes leather boots – ankle and calf length; knee-high stretched suede boots, while trainers and patent black oxfords serve as a stylish androgynous option. Additionally, EQ:IQ continues to offer the luxe STOULS line this season. Washable, highly wearable leather leggings and stretch tops in a variety of on-trend colours are now available in the Hong Kong and Macau boutiques. Created by French designer Aurelia Stouls, each effortlessly chi item is the perfect wardrobe essential to go with key pieces from EQ:IQ’s new Fall and Winter collections.
