VALENTINO Opens Flagship Boutique @ The Landmark Hong Kong

Valentino opens the flagship boutique at the Landmark, Hong Kong recently. The 377sqm boutique continues the innovative store concept developed by the Valentino Creative Direction together with renowned British architect David Chipperfield and marks an important step in the development of Valentino’s worldwide retail network expansion.

The store concept combines old and new in order to generate a kind of Palazzo atmosphere, steering away from a pure showroom and promoting a new retail architectural format in place of a more traditional retail boutique structure.

The architecture is designed to complement the pieces on display, making use of a range of discreetly opulent materials - grey terrazzo, timber, marble, glass, thick leather and soft carpet to focus attention on the collections and evoke a sense of intimacy.

The two storey boutique opens with a 25 meter shop front and proposes a prominent terrazzo façade with an engr aved logo, facing the main atrium of the shopping des tination. The seasonal collection is showcased at the ground level, displayed on wooden shelving and hanging elements, which are supported by polished brass fixtures around the perimeter.

The usage of terrazzo walls and floors create a continuous and consistent experience from the ground floor to the basement. The store also includes two VIP areas, decorated with burgundy leather sofas and c amel soft c arpet creating a sense of c oziness.

The Landmark boutique carries all womenswear product categories: ready-to-wear, accessories and fragrances. The new global store concept creates a shared personal atmosphere while still maintaining the brand’s fundamental values of craftsmanship, romanticism and classical style.
