An Exceptional Rabbit @ The First Sculpture Created by BLANC BIJOU

The rabbit JOKIO is the world’s first sculpture created by BLANC BIJOU, a special material made from a rare and precious material. Having an eternal whiteness and sensational smoothness, this is an exception in the world of art. This unique piece of work of the acclaimed French artist Jacques Owczarek will be presented to discriminating collectors of FINE ART ASIA, Asia’s premier international fine art fair to be staged in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 4th to 7th October, 2012.
This unique material was debuted in the International Exhibition“Now design à vivre” in Paris Maison et Objet in January 2012, and was elected as the “Highlight Material of the Year”. Renowed French Sculptor Jacques Owczarek met hide kasuga, the founder of BLANC BIJOU, in Paris. It was the first collaboration which brought the material BLANC BIJOU into the area of art and rare unique works. When Jacques Owczarek looked for a new material for his works, BLANC BIJOU inspired him with a new creative perspective. As the artist stated, BLANC BIJOU represents an “absolute peace created by its whiteness and its unique touch.” BLANC BIJOU redefined a new relationship among sculptures, artworks and their touch. According to Jacques Owczarek, this unique material opens up a brand new view of creation for artists and designers, and offers new experiences to collectors.
