Paul Smith @ "Day Dreaming with My Camera" Exhibition First Debuts in Hong Kong

Paul Smith introduced a selection of scarves and pocket squares called "Day Dreaming with My Camera" as part of the AW2012 collection. These limited edition pieces feature images comprised of interesting, abstract scarves and pocket squares, taken by Sir Paul Smith himself that have been made 'Smithstamatic'.
Images range from that of the countryside, to some more personal prints focusing on the Kean street head office, a selection of photos taken in Covent Garden, the swimming bath that Paul uses every morning and distinctive shots that embrace the charm of London. Each product feels like a piece of art and is complete with Paul Smith's signature and the words "Day Dreaming with My Camera" printed on the border in Paul's handwriting.

"I always carry a camera wherever I go, and take photographs every day. I like to take photographs of the ‘caught moment’ and that is why the exhibition is called ‘Daydreaming with my Camera’. Today, with interesting applications and filters on digital cameras and iPhones you can get some great effects such as the mirror image, kaleidoscope and many many more." Paul Smith.

The photographs was exhibited for the first time in Hong Kong, alongside the original scarves and handkerchiefs at Harbour City Atrium II and corridor area. The exhibition assembles the unique interior wall of Paul’s London head office desk, revealing the inspiration of Paul Smith’s private world of day dreaming. Celebrating the passion of photography, the exhibition also features a giant Brownie-shaped photo booth that allows the public to make their own stamp photos and redeem a complimentary set of limited edition “Day Dreaming with my Camera” post cards exclusively in Paul Smith Harbour City store during the exhibition.
