BALLY @ ‘PAPILLON’ Bags

BALLY new ‘Papillon’ collection of three totes and two clutches is a luxurious interpretation of an intricate cable stitch leatherwork motif from the 1940s found in the archives. Centerpiece of Bally’s Women’s AW2013 Accessories Collection. Inspired by the brand’s heritage and first days as a pioneering ribbon company in the 1850s. Originally introduced in Spring 2013, the latest version of the ‘Papillon’ once again combines Bally’s pioneering leatherwork techniques and functionality with the highest levels of luxury. Made from rich and exquisitely smooth calf leather, each bag features a finely cut and hand moulded decoration – a simple graphic look that demands exceptional levels of detailed craftsmanship as well as outstanding expert skills.

Hero of the collection is the versatile ‘Papillon Tote’ with a unique, basket-like construction. It comes with a detachable soft leather lining which can be used individually as a convenient and opulent pouch. In addition, the tote can be easily enlarged by engaging clip buttons on either side of its opening. The supremely luxurious clutches come as a hard shell case and are finished off with gold clasps based on classic hardware treasures also housed in the Bally archives.
