Porsche Design @ SS2013 Collection Neo-Bauhaus style

Porsche Design SS2013 Collection Neo-Bauhaus style newly enlarged collection for women and men uses strong contrasts, including combinations of matt and shiny textures, and "colour block” features, to emphasise the iconic essence of this prestige brand. The inspiration behind the SS2013 collection is the Bauhaus School, founded in 1919 in the German city of Weimar, and now synonymous the world over with avant-garde Classic Modernism.
The entire collection is distinguished by strong contrasts, colour-contrasting zips in the Windbreaker Zip and Tec Leisure Blazer for men and the RawTec Leather Dress for women. More subtle, yet equally expressive is the combination of matt and gloss textures, as illustrated in the women’s collection with the Asymmetric Sports Jacket made from lamb nappa and goat suede leather, the RawTec Leather Top and Tec Business Blazer, featuring lamb nappa leather sleeves.
Another highlight is the Car Coat for women and men. This mid-length summer coat is enhanced with elaborate leather details and a protective stand-up collar. Another ideal garment for cooler summer evenings is the Field Jacket Parka, made from very high quality calfskin and available in both women’s and men’s versions.
Porsche Design has reinterpreted this influence to create a whole new style: “Neo Bauhaus a retro-futurist mood between modernity and emotion, a design where the circle is developed to nano-perfection for a chic ergonomy focusing innovation.” explains Thomas Steinbrück, Creative Director of the Porsche Design Group.
