GUCCI Men @ SS2013 True Color Collection

GUCCI Men SS2013 True Color collection is a  chromatic rush. Energetic. Fresh. Radiant. A pulsating rhythm of sharp tailoring. Narrating and exuding the season of a sleek elegance true to the House’s soul. “This season’s Gucci man rediscovers his chic Mediterranean side with intriguing, slim lines and strong color blocking,” explains Creative Director Frida Giannini. “In designing this collection, my starting point was a blatant desire for color to evoke summer.” In a signature Gucci palette, with shades of leather in green, blue, yellow, orange and red for lived-in hues. True colors synthesized by the stripes of the storied Baiadera print.
The silhouette is Playboyish. Three-piece suits with slim, sculpted, tapered lines. Blazing with color. Always worn with the iconic Gucci loafer. Short pants with creases and cuffs. Double-breasted blazers fitted around the waist, in cotton jersey with British-style stripes and polka dots typical of ties. A new, stylized flower print incorporating House codes such as belting, bits, and web stripes. On pajama-style pants, polos, bombers, and foulard shirts with a sophisticated charm. Nautical hints. Blazers and oversized mackintosh raincoats – double breasted with sailor knits. Double jackets with shiny white patent for a boating style. Through to soft sweaters and python biker jackets for a dark touch. Culminating with a tuxedo constructed on the body.
A deluxe hymn of natural fibers. Washed canvas textiles for a velvet effect. Raffia for fitted jackets and even crafted to outline pinstripes. Innovative cotton jersey, lightweight silk with prominent prints. Nabuk outerwear, soft suede on pants. Hand-knit polos with net stitching. Oversized sweaters with Mediterranean designs.
White, black, and bright colors for a spirited reinterpretation of the classic Gucci loafer celebrating its sixtieth anniversary in 2013. The proud protagonist of every outfit. A passion for oversized bags. Starting with the Baiadera, the cult print from the Sixties. Alternating with the canvas shoulder bag and the weekend bag in black crocodile. A deluxe mood accented by details such as small leather bracelets and striking dual lens sunglasses.
