Incorporating an array of organic, detoxifying body treatments to leave you feeling indulgently cleansed and nourished, the experience in the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa Bangkok is all about wellness, where they simply care about embracing the nature and surrendering to the art of the human touch. mylifestylenews writes.

Located on the 21st floor with a panoramic view of the city’s skyline, Banyan Tree Spa Bangkok is definitely a haven and sanctuary to recreate your senses.

As the brand takes a holistic approach to physical, mental and spiritual well-being by drawing on health remedies and evolving massage techniques that have passed through the hands of many generations, this holistic spa indulgence designed to maximize the comfort and to stimulate your vision dedicated to eliminating the distractions of modern life.

Although it would be nice to have a dedicated reception and entrance that is not constantly frequented by hotel guests accessing the swimming pool and gym, among other things, but once you are on the treatment floor – one floor below – you really do immerse yourself in the Banyan Tree experience.

A touch of royal Thai scents illuminates the spa when we were ushered a floor below through the spiral black marble staircase. Immediately, we were greeted by the transparent bamboo “forest” with shapeshifting aesthetic that marks the centre piece of the entire floor with dim hallways leading to those enormous treatment rooms. The entire floor is so quiet and peaceful and automatically to slow your pace down even by just walking down from the stairways to ensure not to make a single sound for any distraction.

When Banyan Tree Spa opened in Phuket, Thailand in 1994, it pioneered the tropical garden spa concept with its Asian therapies and holistic focus on spiritual, mental and physical harmony as well as reintroduced an exotic blend of ancient health and beauty practices which have been passed down from generation to generation.

The spa treatments here are specially concocted with fresh and natural ingredients to replenish your mind and body with the best of nature’s gifts. While the spa menu in incredibly wide-ranging, we focused on one of the simplest treatments – The Gentle Touch Massage. After spending a few weeks travelling around Thailand, this pampering massage treatment came in the perfect timing having being pampered by the skilled therapist without needing to stress the body muscle too much to relax in a form of slow motion.

To kick off the experience, there is the ritual foot cleansing by using green tea and honey, which has the anti bacterial qualities. One’s feet always feel good after this and it puts us in the mood for the treatment that follows, by way of relaxation and shutting out all the distractions that exist the moment you step outside the hotel.

The massage itself involves soft to medium in strength of application, where soothing, long strokes and thumb pressure are applied in tandem to relax the body. This treatment is ideal for just letting the body relax and lets you completely zone out and dream the hours away while the expert therapists weave their magic. We totally surrendered to the intuitive touch, the spa is a wonderful experience and to enjoy the difference.
