Aganovich 0.8 @ SS2013 Collection

Aganovich 0.8 SS2013 collection chose the unusual fabric combinations and structural tension have become trademarks of the Aganovich brand. For SS2013 vintage brocade is matched to forest green linen in superimposed panels; sharply tailored half dresses and asymmetrical skirts provide an unsettling terrain of references.

A feminine infusion of crushed pink silk disrupts masculine overtones. Articulated elements elaborate a pre-occupation with puzzles while the thinly disguised spirit of the clown quietly presides over the riddle of the Aganovich woman.

Aganovich is first and foremost a love affair. Nana Aganovich and Brooke Taylor met in a pub in London in 2002. By 2005 they had decided they wanted to work on something together for the rest of their lives. Combining Nana’s experience in fashion design and Brooke’s in literature they chose to launch a fashion label.

The label is currently stocked in leading multi-brand stockists such as JOYCE Hong Kong and Dover Street Market London and 2012 saw them invited into the first group showroom sponsored by the Federation Francaise de la Couture. In the summer of 2012 they accepted an investment from Hong Kong based group SBM allowing them to move their home and studio to Paris to further develop the business.
